DrunkenSabre Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 Read his blog on the sabres site, the last paragraph is basically about the loss and how we should have beaten that team. "not just beat them, destroy the canadians next time". thats the kind of energy i like. dont play to win, play to humiliate the other team!
Saber61 Posted November 8, 2005 Report Posted November 8, 2005 would be nice... but we need 20 guys who are that fired up not 1... and a goalie that is soooo focused on making it happen that he plays like giguire did that one year in the playoffs... nothing seemed to go by him.

Tim Connollly is elated with the loses and hopes the Sabres lose the rest of their games  Wow! JP really knows how to go out on a limb
Two or less Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Dumont should stop talking and pick up his game and gain some balls and hit the net. He's a real good player when he wants to be.
Two or less Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Besides, no need to drag on the disappointment of the Montreal series and the Ottawa killing.... we win tonight and we beat the Leafs on Friday, everyone will forget about those loses and season will look bright yet again. It's in their hands.
Taro T Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Besides, no need to drag on the disappointment of the Montreal series and the Ottawa killing.... we win tonight and we beat the Leafs on Friday, everyone will forget about those loses and season will look bright yet again. It's in their hands. Tonight's game should be a very good test for the Sabres. Carolina is on a 7 game winning streak (5 of which were home games) and have been off since Saturday like the Sabres have been. The obvious keys tonight are to shut down the Staal line and stay out of the penalty box. Carolina's pp is 5th in the league at 22%. It'll also be interesting to see how the faceoffs go as Carolina is 3rd in the league on faceoffs and Buffalo is 5th. Something will have to give there.
Kristian Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 Have to agree with Dave, a team on a 7-game winning streak is just what the doctor ordered for this team to get out of their funk. Now, had it been a team on a 7-game LOSING streak on the other hand, we'd see that streak end for certain. Plus, the Canes could easily end up playing down to The Sabres level, and we all know how that usually turns out.
chileanseabass Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I wish the game was on TV. The Canes are an exciting team to watch. They move the puck well and have great speed. Staal is a force. He seems to be everywhere on the ice. Brind'Amour looks like he did 6 years ago. Should be a heck of a game if the Sabres show up.
