LabattBlue Posted July 6, 2006 Report Posted July 6, 2006 I'm sure the Sabres don't mind because it keeps costs down, but what if the Sabres get to a point in time where they have more prospects than there is room for in Rochester(10-12 spots). Do they have somewhere else where the prospects can play on a professional level. An independent team?

Provided they pay the guy his AHL salary (rather than an ECHL one) and the player consents, they could send overflow players down to the ECHL. Also, I don't see why they couldn't "loan" a player to another AHL team if necessary. That's how Kolzig played for Ra-cha-cha way back when.
