shrader Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 Happy, cause Ottawa no longer has Chara. It also just got that much easier to score against Boston.
Kristian Posted July 1, 2006 Report Posted July 1, 2006 7.5 mill per season? Another one-line team coming right up.
gregkash Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 I thought the new CBA was supposed to curb spending.. it seems like people are spending A LOT right out of the gate. Not leaving much for a complete team, and this is where I think the Sabres strength will be for years to come.
deluca67 Posted July 2, 2006 Report Posted July 2, 2006 Boston must not get OLN. If they saw Chara's play in the playoffs there is no way they would give him that much.

I thought he was pretty awesome in his own zone against us. Remember how constipated our PP was? (Although a lot of that was also related to losing Connelly). He wasn't as effective on offense as during the regular season, but I'd give credit to our defense, gameplan and of course Miller more than blaming Chara. Having said that, $7.5 million per year is crazy.
