bottlecap Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 Brian Strait is a highly touted Boston area D-Man. Could be a great pick. There has been 2 articles about him in the Globe AND Herald the last 2 days. He sounds like the real deal. http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/articl...aft_1st_rounder Also, Sullivan is out (he wasn't invited to the draft) and the B's look like they're going after Franklin homie Peter Laviolette. They just talked to Dave Lewis of Detroit.
PromoTheRobot Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 I don't know what to make of the Laviolette-to-Boston rumours. It's typical Boston sports mentality that they think everybody wants to play/coach there, like it's someplace special. They think they can cherry-pick anybody they want, and they will fall over themselves in gratitude. PTR
shrader Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 If we end up drafting Strait, I will gladly give game by game progress reports for him when he's playing at BU next year. I've heard nothing but good things about the kid for a while now. The only problem with the Sabres drafting him is that I want to see him stay in college for 4 years.
