X. Benedict Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 It was on last night. It was fascinting to watch. The style of play was so different then, but it was just amazing to watch Schoenfeild and Gare again even though they lost that game. Craig Ramsey's kick in goal in OT would have counted today. Schoeny was dominant and Gare was in everyone's face and played every shift like the game was on him. It gave me chills.
TM8-PL16 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 damn I wish I could have seen it.... anybody record it??????
bob_sauve28 Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 Damn, wish I saw that! Gotta give us the heads up on stuff like that man!
Stoner Posted June 19, 2006 Report Posted June 19, 2006 It's interesting that you single out Schoenfeld and Gare. Near the end of Game 5 in Philly in the next round, Schoeny actually got a standing ovation from the crowd when he came off the ice. And during the handshakes after the Flyers eliminated the Sabres, one of the Flyers told Schoeny that if everyone played like he and Gare did, "hockey would be a better game."
