shrader Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Complete guesses: Miller Vanek Pominville Roy If Roy's not considered a rookie, sub in Gaustad.
Taro T Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 chosen by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. Don't cheat and look it up either.  Sheppard, Barrasso, Housley, and if the all rookie team goes back that far Gare.
SDS Posted June 14, 2006 Author Report Posted June 14, 2006 Complete guesses: Miller Vanek Pominville Roy If Roy's not considered a rookie, sub in Gaustad. I'm not sure if any of those guys were BORN yet! Sheppard, Barrasso, Housley, and if the all rookie team goes back that far Gare. Meatloaf once sang... "3 out of 4 ain't bad..." or something close. :) The team did not go back to Gare....
mphs mike Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 perreault, rico martin, barasso, housley I probably should have read they are all post Gare before suggesting Bert & Rico!
shrader Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Ahhh, this is an all-time thing? I thought some kind of list was released for the 05-06 season today or something. I couldn't figure out why you'd even bother asking since we had only 4-5 rookies for most of this season. Barasso and Housley are locks. Pierre Turgeon? Judging by dave's answers I'm not going to bother going back any further than the mid 80s. I'm drawing a blank on a 4th possible name.
fushetti Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Viktor Gordiouk, Jiri Sejba, Bob Halkidis, and hmmmm... Peter Ciavaglia. He's a Buffalonian you know.
Orange Seats Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I think Ales Kotalik was on that list a few years ago.
shrader Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 I think Ales Kotalik was on that list a few years ago. I just looked up the stats from that season. It's an absolute joke that Tyler Arnason was picked over Kotalik. Arnason put up 19 goals and 20 assists in 81 games. Ales put up 21-14 in 68 games.
SDS Posted June 15, 2006 Author Report Posted June 15, 2006 the answer is: Housley, Barrasso, Sheppard, and.... Calle Johansson.
Taro T Posted June 15, 2006 Report Posted June 15, 2006 the answer is: Housley, Barrasso, Sheppard, and.... Calle Johansson. Calle was my 3rd guess for the 4th one, behind (the obviously wrong) Gare and Audette.
