Cheers to Paetsch, Jillson, and Janik

I was as down as anyone this morning when I found out about McKee...but the guys that played in the stead of our fallen D played amazing in Game 7.

 

Paetsch was right in there sniffing for goals.

 

Janik made some great defensive plays and scored!

 

Jillson, he carried himself well.

 

I had a hunch we'd lose, but I was so happy to find myself screaming "THIS IS OUR GAME!!!" and knowing we still couldve won it. Somehow (i can't believe this), I'm at peace with the outcome.

 

Now, Darcy needs to do some work and bring back the core of this team with some new wrinkles next year.

 

Its been a pleasure gentlemen.

good post my friend...in my wave of anger against all-things Carolina and all of them crazy, numerous Caniacs, I haven't recognized the job these guys did. invaluable experience and the cornerstone of a strong organization.

 

if you are going to lose this way, it is not as tough when you were not supposed to be there, as opposed to having a team that was ready and built for this moment, but tough to lose nonetheless....

I have no problem with the way the players played tonight. kodos to them... But that go ahead goal, the puck just lying there. I was screaming to myself please clear it. Hell, I should just go to bed and wake up and it's October tme..
