Good test tonight.

This should be a good test. The Rangers are making a claim to be a playoff team. This is a great, early chance for the Sabres to assert their claim on playoff spot. There are already seven teams with 10+ points.

ehhh the Rangers are playing well but if you look at their stats theyve played 9 games and only won 4. They have 11 points and a lot of goals for but 3 OTL which must be frustrating so early in the season.

If the Sabres play their normal, relatively penalty-free game, they should come out on top. Nearly half (14) of the Rangers 31 goals have come on the pp. Stay out of the box and win the game. It's that simple.

agreed... that seems to be the general rule of thumb these days...regadless of the teams played... lets hope they can pull it off...

"Stay out of the box and don't let Jagr have a look", should be the game plan for tonight.

Man, that guy's wrister is uncanny.

8 of his 10 goals have been on the powerplay. One of the others was a fluke off a defenseman's skate and the other one came shortly after a pp ended and the Isles couldn't clear the zone.

"Stay out of the box" is the same as saying "don't let Jagr have a look."

All the more reason to "Stay out of the box" :D

That right there is the key to the game IMO.
