Kristian Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 He kept his legs closed? :-) Naw, he came up big when needed, and of course Carolina's goal was banked in off a Sabre stick as always.
SabresForCup Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Critics? No critics here. He played awesome tonight. We can't ask for anymore than that.
nfreeman Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I said this in another thread, but since my brain has been reduced to mush by this series I will repeat it: if Miller plays that well on Thursday we are going to win.
rickshaw Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Miller has to play like that! We all agree. He was great tonight. If he's on Thursday night, I like our chances. Carolina will be very tight. We've played well in their house, no reason to think we won't again. If the refs don't try to give game 7 away, it should be a fun night.
X. Benedict Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 The Sabres strategy has been to keep play wide and to even give the man entering the zone a clear look at the net if it is wide from a bad angle. Miller has been solid. So much of the defensive play determines what kind of looks Miller gets. They supported him tremendously well today.
Stoner Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 Nothing to criticize! The save on Whitney was amazing, doing the splits and snaring the sure goal in his left glove. But the save on Brind'Amour after the Canes tied it was even huger. More huge. Whatever. Not many style points -- he was flopping around like a carp on the shores of Lake Erie at times -- but he got the job done!
JujuFish Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I'm very pleased with his performance. I think he'll come up big next game, as well. The question will be how big Ward comes up. Should be a good game.
LabattBlue Posted May 31, 2006 Report Posted May 31, 2006 I wouldn't call myself a critic. Miller's play in this series before last night has been average to slightly above average. Last night he raised the level of his game...BIG TIME!
