Dr. K Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Just win game six. Forget about injuries, penalties, bad bounces, and history. Just win game six. Then go back to Raleigh for game seven and finish them on their home ice.

I believe, but i'll believe and begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel if we can win on tuesday.
SDS Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 I agree, plus I am pretty sure that Teppo will back for game 6. I'm only using your post as platform, this isn't personal.... STFU about Teppo... Everyone. No one here has a friggin' clue when he will be back. Every damn day it's the same old song and dance. Teppo will be back, Teppo no play. Teppo will be back, Teppo no play. By the time he is actually ready, Peca will be skating with the cup over his head. It is time to move past Teppo, and realize pinning your hopes on a guy who hasn't played all series is foolish. Rome is burning NOW and it isn't waiting for Teppo to finally take the ice.

If him being out of the lineup the Sabres were still winning, no one would be so nrevous without him in the lineup. Having half of Rochester up playing defence for the Sabres in the Conference finals isn't going to get us into the cup But I have a feeling this is the last we've seen of Teppo this year, I think he joins the list of Tallinder, Kalinan, and Connoley of players that aren't going to be coming back til next season
Ogie Oglethorpe Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Teppo wasn't the solution tonight... The Sabres played a solid game and were done in by missed opportunities and an untimely bounce in OT. The game could've easily swung to Buffalo. It was a game that was earned by Buffalo in the 3rd period, but quickly done in by Stillman finishing a play. The last "team of destiny" was the NY Rangers in '94. Messier guaranteed game 6 against the Devils. Hockey God, Chris Drury, is going take game six. Look for an unsung hero to close game 7 in Carolina. It's coming... It IS COMING!
mayers21 Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 I wouldn't define having to win two games as a "miracle." If we win game six, it's a whole new series once again.

Monkeygirl Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 I was pretty pretty "bummed" last night. It was odd not being the one celebrating the OT goal. I fully expected us to get it, but alas... But today I'm trying to think like Lindy Ruff and Chris Drury and look at it like we just have to win ONE game to get it all back to even again and if there is a team that can do it it's these Buffalo Sabres... There, I feel much better.

Eveyrone knows we can do it. However, that was then, and this is now. they have to nut up and get the job done tomorrow. If they don't, it will be a bunch of "what ifs" from now till eternity.

They can't think about the past. The Sabres need to think about their game and just play... Things will work out if they don't get too complicated. All they have to do is finish the 3 period ahead! :D
