peca_lost_darcy_the loser Posted May 27, 2006 Report Posted May 27, 2006 Michael Peca is laughing right now. He's going to the finals and the clown who wouldn't pay him a decent salery is looking at certain doom because he was AGAIN to temib to go out and do what needed to be done at trade deadline. Where was the other defenseman this team desperatly needed? We could have traded that head case Connelly for a top notch d-man and had the last laugh. But no. As always this organizaion will never do what needs to be done

peca_lost_darcy_the loser Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Just sober enough to get through the registration process, huh? Hey, I'm frustrated to but that's no reason to get prickly with me. Darcy is just never going to win the big one like this
Bmwolf21 Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I think i heard this one before, but I think it was that we should have picked up more goalies at the deadline, so when the injury bug bit miller and biron, we would be set there...

If Miller had stopped a simple wrist shot in game two this series might be totally different, oh but we had the goalie to win didn't we
navybillsfan Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Since when did Peca and the Oilers make the finals??? You should drink alot of water when taking Prozac....
peca_lost_darcy_the loser Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Posted May 28, 2006 Since when did Peca and the Oilers make the finals??? You should drink alot of water when taking Prozac.... Here is some advice buddy. I imagine you probably don't make much money anyway scrubbing barnacles off of battleships, but don't waste what little you betting on sports. If you think the Oilers arn't going to the finals then you need to get a brain
Knightrider Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Hey, I'm frustrated to but that's no reason to get prickly with me. Darcy is just never going to win the big one like this Getting a cash strapped team into the ECFs 3 time in the last decade is really not too bad IMHO. There aren't many people here who share your frustrations with Darcy. Please vent them elsewhere...

Yep, we could have traded Connolly for a D man. That is exactly what would have happened. I don't even know why I let a message board post get to me....computers suck taht they allow assjacks like you to have a voice...

As always this organizaion will never do what needs to be done I had been the one willing to drive Darcy to the state line and drop him off earlier in the year. So I can sort of see where you are coming from and I can see how foolish you sound. What do the Sabres have this year 62 wins? 62 and 2 away from the Finals. You are going to complain because he didn't forsee three defensemen going down with injuries. Welcome to Small Market Economics 101. Small market teams can not afford to stock pile 9 NHL quality defensemen. Which is what you are asking for. The Sabres did the right thing at the deadline. They stayed the course and showed some faith in the palyers they have. And what did it get them. 2-2 in the East Finals. No matter what goes on from here this season has been a monster success for Darcy and the entire organIzation. They have earned my respect and you might be better served to let go of your childish anger. And, did I see you comment about Miller? Are you kidding. The kid is a player. Take less time worrying about past playoff failures and spend some time actually watching the games. Also, There are fewer bigger Peca fans then myself. But even I have to admit that Peca has been a nonfactor in the NHL since he left the Sabres. To have paid him 4 million a year for such little or no production is what got this franchise in trouble in the first place. I'm glad Peca is in the Finals. I'm even glad he has played better in these playoffs. But, if he wins a Cup it has nothing to do with Darcy Regier. Darcy didn't trade him to the Oilers. Remember. You can never get to where you are going if you keep looking back to where you came from. You will always end up tripping and falling on your face. ;)

He got smoked by Darcy Tucker (a collision of two of the dirtiest players in the league) and had the nerve to whine about it and he has not been the same player since. He's got two nice goals this playoff year but, last time I checked, the physical game was a big part of what makes Peca, Peca. He is a ghost of the player he was as a Sabre and has become a bit player on a team surrounded by faster, hungrier players who play the game he used to play when he was younger and less self-satisfied. Bring Back Sanderson Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 Time to get over it, people. The trade was 5 years ago. The team they traded Peca to isn't in the Finals. Regier has done a fine job. Stop being so pessimistic, it's the most annoying thing about this city as far as sports fans go.
hopeleslyobvious Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 If Miller had stopped a simple wrist shot in game two this series might be totally different, oh but we had the goalie to win didn't we Where to start with this one. Yeah Darcy really messed up by not anticipating that he would be down 3 defenseman in the ECF. Please tell me another team that could go this far down in their depth chart and still be in good shape. And Miller...Are you suggesting that we don't have the goalie?!? He has come up huge in the playoffs, and pointing to a save he should have made means nothing. There are plenty of shots he stopped that he shouldn't have. He is one of the reasons this team is where they are right now.

If you are gonna blame Darcy for things, at least make it with things that happened within the last 1-2 years!!!
scottnc Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 3 (almost 4) conference finals in 8 years and a finals appearance. Regier sucks!!!
