buckeyebrian Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Teppo - out for tonight Mair - ok, but "who do I take out of the line-up?" Kalinin - not using crutches but still wearing the boot Connolly - still day-to-day also - 'canes have not revealed who will be in goal tonight
Kevbeau Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Teppo - out for tonight "Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue." Seriously, I'm gonna have to go 12-pack for tonight. Sixer ain't gonna cut it.
Rico7 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Any idea what the defensive pairings will be tonight then?
PTS Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 This Teppo injury is starting to scare me. It's like Groundhog Day. Each day we hear Teppo is definitely gonna play the next game and then gameday comes and Teppo says he's almost there but not today. Something tells me he's gonna be like this for a while.
buckeyebrian Posted May 26, 2006 Author Report Posted May 26, 2006 Any idea what the defensive pairings will be tonight then? Ruff says he will have Janik and Jillson together at least some of the time. With the last line change I would expect them to be out there against the Canes 4th line.
sabregoats Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 From the report before the last game about teppo not being able to lift his stick I am assuming it is lower back. My fear is a ruptured disk and that he could also be gone for a while. I hope that I am wrong and he is back for game five.
johnnychemo Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I heard on GR yesterday that it was a hip flexor.
Stoner Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 I heard his coccyx was sore. That, or cat scratch fever. PTS, I don't think anyone has said he definitely was going to play. If they have hinted at that, it's just the ridiculous gamesmanship that goes on. At his age, with a hip or a groin or a deviated septum, a long term situation is always possible. I hope I'm wrong! The league really has to do something about information about injuries. This is truly ridiculous.
wjag Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 There is an article in one of papers that seems to be talking to Teppo about his injury. It said it was a groin injury and that it takes 6 to 12 days to heal. This is day 6. Teppo said it is an all or nothing injury. Either you can go or you can't. Either you can start and stop or you can't.
zow2 Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Ugh. I hate reading these injury updates yet I can't look away! Face it, we're gonna need a monster game from Ryan Miller tonight. I think Carolina smells chum in the water and will come out physical and crashing the net. I know our boys say they're gonna raise the intensity level tonight but I need to see it play out on the ice....unlike game 2 when we couldn't match their intensity level.
LabattBlue Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Lindy really needs to be careful how he matches his forward lines with defensive pairings. You don't want your worst defensive forward line paired with Jillson & Janik. That being said, all the forwards need to step up and help out more so than normal in their own zone tonight.
inkman Posted May 26, 2006 Report Posted May 26, 2006 Morrison just said that janik and jillson are in, does that mean no paetsh (sp). I should know the spelling but I always trip over his name.
