UPDATE: I just checked. For $4.00 plus shipping you can send him a bread plate with a 4 line message!!! Awesome. And here's more stuff - http://www.crateandbarrel.com/gr/guest/vie...px?grid=9856927
Corp000085 Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 What a bunch of crap... Danny briere's registry items include bricks, roofing nails, condoms, and labatt blue.
wjag Posted May 21, 2006 Report Posted May 21, 2006 Folks, being mad at Brett Hull is misplaced. Afterall, all he did was score. So his foot was in the crease. The system should have protected the integrity of the game and rules. The damn ref'ing that refused to look at the shot are the ones who are to blame. Those refs were tired of skating and wanted it over.

IT WAS THE SOB'S IN THE VGJ's BOX THAT WERE LOOKING OVER THE VGJ's SHOULDER AND DECIDED THAT THE GOAL WOULD STAND EVEN THOUGH THE PROCESS THAT DECIDED THE GOAL WENT AGAINST THE NHL RULEBOOK IN EFFECT AT THE TIME AND AGAINST LEAGUE PROCEDURES AND THE GOAL WAS NOT A LEGAL GOAL ACCORDING TO THE RULEBOOK IN EFFECT AT THAT TIME.

Maybe register with a charity and have people donate instead? Or maybe Modano could just pretend he had to feed his dog for an extra week and use the money to buy Brett the whole list in one shot.
ddaryl Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 You send him the cheese knives, I'll provide the room temperature limburger

Taro T Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 He still scored the game winner that cost the Sabres the cup. How is that misplaced anger?? Wrong. He was awarded the goal that allowed the Stars to be awarded the SC. He did not score a legal goal according to the rules in place at the time.
