RVJ Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 I guess its better to be the underdog. This should be alot tougher series. Would be great to get Connolly back in the lineup. Odds below http://www.oddschecker.com/betting/mode/o/...466x/sid/688440
Alaska Darin Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 The betting line has nothing to do with who is better. Has everything to do with how the oddsmakers believe the action will go. And the end of the day, who cares? Never once has anyone won a game because they were favored, nor because they were the underdog. This "lack of respect" thing is very tired.
deluca67 Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 It looks like the home ice may have a lot to do with that.
wjag Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 No brainer to me... Each team runs four lines, plays tough D and opportunistic O. Mirror images. They get four games at home to our three.
Stoner Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 That's fine with Lindy. He deftly swatted away Rod Brind'Amour's comment about the Sabres being the "team to beat." He knows the underdog status gives his team an edge. Just to keep the pot stirred, the coach even proclaimed Ottawa to still be the better team -- even after the Sabres beat them four games to one!
