But, could very well see moves this week as the Bills big week is now behind them (and they've already signed nearly all the UFDA's they have space for on the roster). Hoping so, at least. But why let him continue to make decisions? He already signed Bryson for some reason. Also I'm fairly certain there's a solid list of available candidates before round 1 ends. You can then continue after that if needed. Quote

Also I'm fairly certain there's a solid list of available candidates before round 1 ends. You can then continue after that if needed. The Bryson signing, provided they aren't tight on the 50 contract limit, is a nothing move. One spot locked up in the pressbox when all are healthy and also when a younger guy you want getting ice time in the A rather than sitting around in the pressbox can finally get to wherever they're playing that given night. And he explained why he signed Bryson (to be the designated sit in the pressbox D-man): he gets along well with his teammates, he doesn't moan when he's not in the lineup, he's a borderline NHLer, and there is no appreciable difference in his level of play when he's sat in the pressbox for a few weeks vs playing on a nightly basis. Honestly, except for the fact he's not very good (which is why he's in the pressbox and not dressed when all are healthy) don't really have an issue with it. That's pretty much the definition of the ideal pressbox sitter. (You're never going to get a 2nd pairing guy as your 7th D-man; if you have somehow, then you're seriously lacking somewhere else (net, C, &/or W) because all your eggs are in the D-basket.) But, don't confuse "well, Pegula's already agreed to pay these guys through June" with WANTING them to not officially terminate the services of several current employees. Have said repeated that were it my choice, all the AC's would be history with the POSSIBLE exception of Bales and even his coming back wouldn't be set in stone. Quote

I don’t think there’s really any difference between the two options. Not much is happening right now in the way of roster decisions. That window is going to close soon, but at this very second, it doesn’t matter. Quote
Mr. Allen Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Are we sure Ruff is staying on? Let’s say we promote Karmanos to GM and he wants Sullivan. Will Terry even allow that? 1 Quote

We're just going to be fed a diet of "youngest team in hockey" again and they'll tout the 12-7-1 finish as "progress." Adams will sign a bottom 6 forward or two and maybe another redundant bottom-pairing defenseman and call it good. Lather, rinse, repeat. I remember the 1-5 finish a lot more than the 12-7-1. The warts re-surfaced. Edited 2 hours ago by Mr Peabody 1 Quote

Which is a very narrow view by TP…the Sabres lose money so he cannot spend more cash than he absolutely needs to. It’s a business decision by a businessman. Meanwhile the guy’s net worth went from 4.7 BILLION in 2019 to 7.6 BILLION today. This is why I cannot defend the guy to his haters. He promised hockey heaven and the last few years has delivered ‘ballin on a budget.’ He will have regrets for some of these decisions when money won’t prolong his life and the Sabres continue to be what they are. "I did not get in this for the Money, if I wanted to make money I would go dig a well" -T Pegula Unless something has changed and it might have then I dont disagree that this is a choice by him to be absentee... lots of things COVID, the Bills etc... could have changed his stance... but in the end if it is sheer neglect, or if it is consciously choosing a budget over a real NHL team he has literally obliterated an entire generation of hockey fans... the attendance drop and emotional vitriol, disdain and apathy that the existing fan base has spiraled too I honestly could not imagine happening when I was a kid watching his beloved French Connection.... This may be the worst run NHL franchise in literally my memory. They make up for that by being condescending, arrogant, absent, and honestly sometimes liars (we are going to conduct an extensive coaching search). They are the least likeable team that I can ever remember following... and I have followed some really bad Bills teams.. Edited 1 hour ago by JP51 Quote
Flashsabre Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Would you do Rossi for Norris? Some here would freak out over his size but he’s a very good player. Minny want taller centres. Norris is tall. Quote

TP does not give many quotes anymore, but unfortunately I don't trust any of his statements. Is he a liar, perhaps not....but he is a coward who lacks the courage to answer any questions in public and clarify anything that he once said that no longer seems to be true (ex. winning the Stanley Cup). 1 Quote
