The Bills pay way, way, over the official Salary cap because the NFL has loopholes that allow overpaying in the form of bonuses.  Deep pockets help.  
 

Ya, I know. I'm just being snippy. TP just pisses me off right now with the whole way the organization is run. The fact that other teams have already fired people and nothing gets done in Buffalo when Adams is such a blatant failure is really annoying.

Terry is too busy overseeing the building of the new stadium. Sabres will just have to wait another year.

The stadium is well on its way to being built. He has people overseeing that daunting project that is well on its way to completion. The football draft is over and the people running the football franchise have proven to be excellent at managing that particular franchise. The hockey playoffs have started and the then the hockey draft will soon happen. There is no excuse for him not to give his attention to attention to the hockey operation. If he fails to act then it will be another example of his incompetency. He's already demonstrated that as an owner he is a failure. If he doesn't act this offseason, then he will be even more of an abject failure as an owner. No more excuses!

It’s rather funny not a single assistant coach even has been axed and the season ended 10 days ago. That Pegula “meddles” persists as a narrative is wildly hilarious. He’s totally, totally absentee.

That's not necessarily the conclusion. It could be that he is totally content with things the way they are.

I like to think they are taking their time to make sure they make the right decisions.  But I fear they could lose out on good replacements before they are taken by someone else.

Personally, expect much as others here have said that Pegula was busy paying attention to the Bills the past week or 2.  Now that the NFL draft is past, am hoping that we see some changes in the Sabres FO and coaching ranks.  (Because the coaching is pretty rank.)

Quenneville has been offered the Ducks coaching position. A Lot of baggage there. Wonder if he accepts it.

He doesn’t want to fire someone under contract and then have to pay them plus a replacement.

I think I agree with you. Which is a very narrow view by TP…the Sabres lose money so he cannot spend more cash than he absolutely needs to. It’s a business decision by a businessman. Meanwhile the guy’s net worth went from 4.7 BILLION in 2019 to 7.6 BILLION today.  
 

This is why I cannot defend the guy to his haters.  He promised hockey heaven and the last few years has delivered ‘ballin on a budget.’ 
 

He will have regrets for some of these decisions when money won’t prolong his life and the Sabres continue to be what they are.

Yep. Sad but true. Anybody hoping for significant changes/upgrades is just going to be disappointed. We're just going to be fed a diet of "youngest team in hockey" again and they'll tout the 12-7-1 finish as "progress." Adams will sign a bottom 6 forward or two and maybe another redundant bottom-pairing defenseman and call it good. Lather, rinse, repeat.

We should be hearing something today like Terry met with Kevyn or will be meeting with him. Please do something to improve this organization Terry. Move Kevyn to some position away from the hockey dept.
