matter2003 Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 (edited) Tuch set a new NHL record for blocked shots(113) among forwards since the stat was kept starting in the 2005-2006 season Tage Thompson became the first Sabre to ever lead the NHL in even strength goals in a season with 37. Certainly not going to push off their individual efforts.. good for them... looking at positives after this season is hard... glad you came up with a few. Quote

Some of us can have fun watching an individual game, rooting for an individual player we like to reach a milestone or to have some kind of achievement. So to answer the question you asked, not everyone, but a lot of us do. 1 1 Quote

This is actually good to see. These two guys are good players. Scoff away if people must, but I like seeing league leaders on the team. It’s a start 2 Quote

Is anyone else surprised that no Sabre has ever led the league in even-strength goals? Mogilny had 76 but Selanne had 76 same year. Gare hit 50, can’t imagine many were PP goals. Of all the criminal offenses committed by this team this year, and yeah, there were a lot, one at the top of the list has to be Thompson with 37 ES goals and 7 (!) PP goals! Someone needs to be fired for that alone. Quote
GASabresIUFAN Posted April 18 Report Posted April 18 (edited) Lots of other positives, but all on the offense. 8th in goals overall. Top 5 in EV goals. A few other positives Individually. Zucker and McLeod were positive surprises. Continued development from JJP and Benson plus the emergence of Kulich. JBD maybe a find for the 3rd pair. Edited April 18 by GASabresIUFAN Quote

steveoat87 Posted Friday at 11:13 PM Report Posted Friday at 11:13 PM They should throw money at a power play specialist. They should also let Lindy pick his own assistant couches and get rid of these bozos. Quote
