15k fans will have an Alex Tuch bobble head, should they choose to get one.

What they do with those bobble heads will be up to them.

I'm keeping mine.

We have past Appreciation Nights to go by. I don't recall booing. I do recall a positive reaction to the team raising its sticks. The jersey giveaway always seems upbeat.

I think the anger peaks earlier in the season and anyone left at the end either doesn't care about the record (a sizable number IMHO) or is in a merciful mood. It's the last game, and it's sad.

i'm predicting the boo birds will be out in full force,(win or lose), then during post game press conference the players will voice that their feelings are hurt- shame on you fans.

Not if they win and play a good game.  There will be fan salute and in the locker room fans will say "this season was unacceptable,  we started to come together but it was too late, we cant keep digging holes, they will work hard in the offseason to get better".

I would too.  I would not throw it even in a bad loss.  Never throw anything on the ice, accept a ballcap (not a Fedora).

True.  I don't recall Fan Appreciation Night being on the final game either.  Seems like bad timing.

My prediction: some people will go. Some will stay home. Some will boo. Some will chant. Some will cheer. Some players will do a meaningful fan salute at center ice. Some will do a half hearted stick raise and skate off. The sun will come up the next day.

In hindsight none of this is surprising considering how the season started.

It'll be an apathetic environment. When I had season tickets I'd refer to it as "Fan Depreciation Night".

Most likely outcome to be honest. What fans are left, especially amongst the young, are most certainly numb to this ending to Sabres seasons by now, it’s been so long an entire generation is not merely apathetic, they’re most likely fans of other teams, and can anyone truly blame them if that is the case? I can’t.

Crickets, at this point.  No one should trust the vision, the words, or the actions of the leadership of the Sabres organization.  From the head down, it's pathetic, inconsistent and there is no desire to fix the problem.  It's cover it up with more nonchalant galantry similar to the Ruff appointment.  Pegula is a bottom tier owner with the drive of someone how has too many toys and an ego the size of the moon to think anyone should listen to his thoughts on running a franchise.  You may be a brilliant business mind; but as a sports owner, you sir, are a joke.

Don’t see this at all.

My nephew took his family. Their kids got bobbleheads, the daughter caught a t-shirt, and the saw the Sabres win, They love it. They don't know about any of the drama or baggage. They dress in Sabres gear and cheer their team.

A few of us have been saying this is kinda how we are 'getting' through the season....for me thinking of why I liked the games as a kid.

You want them to make the playoffs of course, and even as a kid I was watching the standing and thinking a bit about the playoffs. But, it  was much, MUCH more entertainment on a nightly basis.  There is a game tonight!  I want to see goals!  You might or might not be aware of the front office/coaching staff, but sometimes you weren't and if you were, you didn't care.  The team won 36 games, that is 36 times you felt good at the end of the night.  The last team to make the playoffs won 40 games.  They got that 'winning feeling' less than 1 time per month more than you did.  I don't think there is any fan that doesn't care at all about the playoffs...but there are some fans that just want to see hockey and 'hope' their team wins...nothing more.

Proving once again that when it comes to Sabres hockey in particular, or life in general, happiness is very often simply the difference between expectations and reality.

Yeah, kids are delusional like that. Put them in a good home, give them a bunch of free stuff and they're happy idiots until their first crush breaks their hearts.
