Well, we are winding down another season with no playoffs, many have openly called for change, others not as much...  As always the opinions of the board are quite interesting and I would like to know where everyone is at.... and what they are thinking about the above direction if it takes place.  Including the "other" choice as I am not sure you can capture this in just a few catagories.

For me I would love to say thats it... but it likely wont be...  I already do not attend a lot of games, merchandise isnt really me and most of the season I have found this team unwatchable... I think inaction would simply send me farther into the abyss, like if they dont care why should I...  but like any toxic relationship its easier said than done...  I will say this, I am as close as I have ever been to giving up... the emotional angst that this situation creates cant be worth the effort...

I would love to read your takes.

It is totally unacceptable. Adams has repeatedly and continuously dragged his feet, shown favoritism, made bad contract choices, and blatantly refused to improve the very obvious issues with the roster. Marty Wilford is clearly not good enough. Seth Appert's powerplay is trash. Running this back is like if the Titanic had crashed into the ice berg, then circled around to hit it again.

This is where I am at too... I fail to see any level of real competence here... I also think his handling of Eichel, Reinhart, Montour etc... should have really raised the flag immediately.  His inability to develop promising players by hiring the right coaches and having the appropriate in season plan is also an abject failure who incompetence has likely set us back years...

Other.

As most of you already know, I hit the level of mostly apathy some years ago.  I sort of pay attention to the goings on. I check social media to see how a game turned out. I watch youtube highlights when they win.  There are a couple of youtube channels I subscribe to and watch for Sabres commentary. I watch a game when it is convenient to do so, which isn’t often considering I don’t subscribe to any services that carry the Sabres games. But that is the extent of my involvement.  I can’t even engage in debates about this team anymore because I just can’t be bothered to put the effort into thinking about it all that much.

This team needs to earn my interest, and I really don’t give a damn if they don’t try to earn it.  It’s their loss, not mine. I really don’t see any difference in my outlook whether they keep that clown or send him away.

Frankly, I am here more for the social media than this display of sports excrement.

5 years, enough already of KA. Running back the same coaching staff and players is crazy. If they somehow get lucky with a bounce back season from UPL and tighten up defensively they could challenge for a wild card spot but to not try and improve is not a smart decision.

My fandom has taken its biggest hit in 50 years, all thanks to TP and his trickle down stupidity of hiring clowns. This is the first year I have not bought any merchandise and also publicly wearing Sabres stuff. I am embarrassed that the solid history of this franchise has been decimated.

Hire a legit hockey man and the tax/palm effect will slowly disappear.

I think I am as close to this stance as  I have ever been... the whole thing feels toxic whenever I engage...

I suspect there is nothing the Sabres could do in the off-season that could get me excited about next season and I know I will be watching next year regardless.

I will once again try to enjoy each win this group of Tyrod Taylors may have in store in the faint hope they eventually lead me to an Andy Dalton moment.

I picked Completely Unacceptable.

Enough is enough.  Terry is not even trying.  I want to pick 3, I am a loyalist and my fandom predates the Sabres existence, but I have to finally take a stand.

I witnessed three miserable home games and a miserable road game,  and I cannot take it anymore.  No more tickets, no more merch.   I want change.

Bingo, this is where I am trying to follow the mess this has been over the last 14 years.

It helped my hockey fix that I had the Penguins to follow as my 2nd favorite team but age, time and ownership changes here in Pittsburgh has finally caught up to the Pens as they miss the playoffs this year.

based on this most do, and for a long time.... I fear we are going to do absolutely zero to improve the situation.

14 years should be a huge embarrassment on this franchise and a fire should be lit to make it next year. Will it happen? Not a chance. Status quo baby! TPegs is rich and making enough money off of the Bills. Wash rinse repeat!!! Sabres Moto!

It’s completely unacceptable when Adams pronounced that this is a playoff team and nothing less is acceptable. Well his, and Lindy’s, inaction during the season was contrary to this statement.

It seems that no player on this team will listen to anyone in charge. They do what the way, how they want, when they want with no repercussions. The arrogance in the locker room must be so thick you can cut it with a knife.

I don't expect any changes. This franchise, for better or worse,  is on auto pilot. Aside from the goaltending, which I really hope either improves internally or gets improved from outside, I like the players. Youngest team in the league gets a little more mature, adds (hopefully) a healthy Norris, improving the top six while, and (hopefully) the team defense improves so that the nice scoring the team does not go to waste.

Where this team is at in the standings come next Christmas will be interesting. If they start next season with again, the worst Power Play, the worst Penalty Kill and another ten game losing streak, or something close to those things then it will show that yet again the late season run was a mirage.

In any event, there are a lot of bright spots to point to. Dahlin is just a rock star. Benson is a gem, TNT is someone to build around for sure, Tuch is great and Kulich, JJP and Quinn (sometimes) all seem like up and comers, while the lower six look like solid players. I do wish we had a Mike Ramsey type player on defense, though.

When the players in post game interviews continually highlight anytime something good happens, such as a response to a hit or winning a few games, it is a sign that playing the right way and winning are not ingrained into their expectations yet.  They showed signs of getting it at times, but they lack consistency.

They cannot stay the youngest team in the league once again and expect to win, so if next year we roll in Levi and Östlund along with Kulich and Benson it  is going to another difficult row to hoe.

Its clear we need better goaltending and a few more defensive minded defenseman that can move people and inflict some pain to opposing forwards, but we need to add a top 6 forward so that we push someone down a line and strengthen two positions.

Critical off-season.  I don't think the fan base can take much more.

Pretty clear the owner attending games later in the season was all for show if Adams isn't fired.  What person with a fully functioning brain goes to those games and walks away saying the team this GM constructed is capable of meeting their established 2024-25 goal of making the playoffs?

Then again, this is the owner who thought speaking to the team in the midst of an 0-10-3 streak would elevate their play.  And the GM has more of late been revealed as a puppet.

How much potential revenue has Pegula lost in playoff games. I guess he is loaded so who cares

Honestly, I'm guessing it wouldn't compare to the $58M he's saved in spending under the cap since Adams took over.
