LGR4GM Posted 13 hours ago Report Posted 13 hours ago Josh Norris is being shutdown for the season per Lindy Ruff Owen Power injury is long term and power is getting a 2nd opinion before they move forward but he's also done for the year. Both comments come from Lindy on wgr this morning. 1 1 Quote
Big Guava Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Well OK then...considering we have 2 games left and no playoffs it doesn't really matter anymore at this point. 1 Quote
thewookie1 Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Joy, that could mean Power might not be ready for camp in the Fall as well as won't have any chance to work out over the summer. 1 Quote
dudacek Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago The Power thing has been underrated around here. A long-term injury and rehab would rob the Sabres of one of their best levers for improvement heading into next season. 3 Quote

They can still trade Byram, and Samuelsson, and their 1st round pick, and any one of 10 prospects. And they have cap space. Quote
Carmel Corn Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Muel wasn't satisfied with injuring himself multiple times....he decided to injure a fellow teammate (friendly fire) with the collision that ended up hurting Power. Quote

Pimlach Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago I missed the injury, lower body? What is it exactly? Quote

Pimlach Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago I think they have to go with Norris as the 1C/2C next season. No choice. I doubt they can move him right now, his value is down. Get healthy and stronger, that is all he can do right now. Quote

Tuch: Aww, Uncle Owen -- you've got a bad motivator. Look! Uncle Owen Power: Hey... what are you trying to push on us? Muel-PO: Ohhh... That's a shame. Listen, I know another d-man, a real bargain. Perfect for EEE. Hear me out... LHD. JB-78, already under contract for next year and playing the top six. Still, it stinks for Power. Hopefully, it's just a bunch of swelling an a MCL sprain and in 6 weeks he's back on the ice and ready to go. And.. if it's an ACL and he's out until March... because of rehab and setbacks... LTIR here we come! Look at all that cap space available and then add Power for the playoffs. Quote
7+6=13 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Crap, this is awful news. Get well young man. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago Aye yi yi - this team cannot afford an injury like this. Fooking awful news. Quote
rickshaw Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago All the Power haters gonna find out how much this will hurt the Sabres next season. 1 3 Quote

I think Byram, Rosen, and the 2025 1st could net us quite a good player. With Power hurt though, I bet Byram gets brought back because Adams cannot handle two issues at once. Quote

thewookie1 Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago (edited) Let me guess, Power will be out a while so Adams in his "infinite wisdom" will sign Byram to some dumb long deal and when we miss again he'll blame it on Power's injury Edited 10 hours ago by thewookie1 4 1 Quote

But, this is what LTIR is for. You can ice a full-to-cap team for as long as Power is unable to play. Edited 8 hours ago by DarthEbriate Quote
Crusader1969 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago Not sure where to put this but since he will be replacing Power tonigt I will ask. "Is Bryson the worst defender the Sabres have dressed since the tank years?" Quote
pi2000 Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago MCL tear probably Brutal news, he's a guy who needed a solid summer of strength training. Quote
