So that Power - Bernard-Docker pairing huh?

Before tonight they looked good together, the best outcome would be them realizing they need to find Power a legitimate partner

Not even being funny: What are his qualifications that make him this future coaching star in the eyes of this organization? Guy was a nothing college coach, a pretty ***** AHL coach who really underachieved given the talent he had and blows goats as an NHL assistant. What exactly do they see in this guy?

He's cheap and wants to be here. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Get ready for HC Appert and the return of Matt Ellis to the bench next season.

Power needs to work on his skating. He looks like he's skating in mud half the time.

First of all, was he really the best pick of his draft?

Second, what did management see in him to give him that big contract?  I don’t see it.

What I see is a big slow wuss, afraid of contact, with some offensive talent.

No. I don't even think he was the best defender in that draft and said as much.

He was tall and a 1st overall pick.

He's a positional defender with a decent stick and good passing.

This loss is on @Pimlach for picking on Columbus, saying they didn't deserve a hockey team.  Pissed off the hockey gods.

What kind of god would allow us to suffer for 14 years?

Must be the god of palm trees!

Power was manhandled out there, he's weak on the puck.   Teams are dumping pucks in his corner and just out muscling him, every damn time.   He has some serious maturing to do.

Who was the last Sabres head coach with a good head of hair?   Nolan?   Rolston?  Sator?

Power was the consensus #1 rated prospect in his draft class. He didn’t dominate that class from a rating perspective but on most teams draft boards was the top name.

Power is not a banger and never will be. He’s a skater and positional defender. Some people have difficulty accepting his game. I’m not one of them. He’s not going anywhere.

What did they see in Kevyn Adams? This isn't a serious hockey organization.

They is Terry Pegula.  He saw a guy that he trusts, that will listen to him and follow him.  Experience in Hockey Operations was not a consideration.

Pegula really likes the USNTDP. See Ron Rolston and Don Granato before Appert.

A salary of $17 an hour plus tips.

Considering EEE is still the owner’s MO and Adams was hired as GM to fire the AHL staff and scouts that JBott refused to axe, it’s safe to assume that Krueger, Granato, and their staffs were among the lowest paid in the league.

Fast forward to Ruff still getting paid from NJ, it’s probably fair to say that this active coaching staff is still one of the cheapest group of contracts in the league. But they want to be here so it’s all good.
