LOL glad you write players off after one viewing. Some of the players on your list are some of the top players in the AHL. I guess no team has anyone coming

Seen them play in nhl too. Still not impressed.  . Thanks for your insightful post!🤣

14 years, yes let's give them the benefit of doubt. Keep those rose colored glasses on.

This such a useless and dumb argument. It's designed to dismiss anything anyone says. If I say Helenius is 18 so we should not judge him yet, you'll toss 14yrs, which is irrelevant to him or his dev and then you'll hammer that home with the "rose colored glasses" comment.

So, there's no conversation here or discussion. It's just a broad attack with no nuances designed so no one is allowed to retort. Fun.

Very insightful.

Was my first Amerks game. Loved the atmosphere, the arena, and the people. Wasn't that impressed with amerks play although they showed heart with comeback win. Two best players on the ice were Fiddler-Schultz and Clague.  Rochester is a really small team. Was not impressed with the jr Sabres:

- Levi two weak goals

- Kulich meh

- Rosen didn't notice him

-Östlund constantly knocked off puck

- Helenius  same as above

- Johnson tiny

- Novikov and Komarov big but can't skate.

Help is not on the way.  15 and counting unless some major trade wins coming.

This isn't even if I disagree. At least you're engaging.

I'm not giving up on them. Just my opinion it dors not look good. They are tiny. It looked  like kids playing against their fathers.

What a stupid response.

Disagree to a point. But fair.

Back to the game...

Helenius makes it 1-0 Amerks at the 9:22 mark of 1P. Off a rebound. SYR was too focused on physical play to realize the puck was laying there waiting to be put away.

8:22 Murray gets a delay of game call. Crunch on the PP.

Rathbone just annihilated a Crunch player.

Not Amerk related, but just reading that in the same sentence really brought a point home.   Helenius is 18, Benson is 19; these guys were in preschool or kindergarden the last time the Sabres made the playoffs.  This ####ing streak has to end before they have guys on the roster that weren't even born the last time the Sabres were in the dance.

Yes, we know. 14 years.

Yes, we DO know it's 14 years.  But that was simply a different way of viewing it that really hit home.  One more presidential election cycle without a playoff berth and they'll have guys on the roster than weren't even born prior to the streak starting.

All correct, but can we ever just enjoy some AHL playoff hockey without kicking ourselves in the nuts.
