GDT: Amerks season remainder and playoffs

Since Rochester will be the team playing in the post season I thought it's time for GDT thread just for them. This can be a catch-all until the games get more important. Tonight Amerks up 2-0 after 2 over Belleville. Well that turned quickly. Belleville score 4 in the 3rd and win 4-2. Goal #2 was scored 5-on-3, the game winner with 55 seconds left. ENG with 5 sec left.

Remaining regular season games:
Friday April 11 7pm vs Laval
Wed April 16 7pm vs Cleveland
Friday April 18 7pm vs Toronto
Saturday April 19 4pm @ Toronto

On Sabres Live today they discussed whether Kulich, who is eligible to play for the Amerks in the playoffs, should. Marty said he doesn’t think he should go back, he’s proven he’s a NHL player, and it would take the roster spot of another prospect.

I think that’s ridiculous. He would greatly enhance their roster, especially if Kozak isn’t healthy to play. The Amerk fans deserve the best roster possible.

Someone alert Marty to the fact that ROCHESTER IS ACTUALLY ATTEMPTING TO WIN THE CALDER CUP AND THAT WINNING THE CALDER CUP AND SKATING AROUND THE ICE WITH IT AND WINNING THINGS IS REALLY GOOD FOR PROSPECTS AND SERIOUSLY MARTY WHAT THE FLYING ***** ARE YOU THINKING JESUS CHRIST???????

You should have as many of your players experience what will hope to be a deep playoff run.

You also want injury replacements available who have experience with their linemates -- if Kulich were to miss a game, Östlund steps right into the 1C role. Other AHL teams are going to get their reinforcements, too. This entire franchise should be making all efforts to win. (I realize the whole win thing goes counter to EEE.)

I have pointed out countless times that a big reason the Caps have been so good for so long is that their AHL affiliate has such high standards and values winning more than any other team in the league.

The Hershey Bears are also, usually, one of the oldest teams in the NHL. More vets, fewer prospects. But maybe that works for them. Can't argue with results.

Just like Mike Peca before him, he’ll get promoted to another NHL team and we’ll be stuck with easily the worst set of assistant coaches in the league. Again.

Amerks have been very inconsistent and poor for about 2 months now. Every time a player goes up to Buffalo and comes back, they're measurably worse. Rosen and Murray being two example.

That appears to be quite an indictment on the Sabres coaching staff.

They couldn't score on a 1:53 5-on-3 advantage. Levi also not playing his best.

Come back to Rochester as a far worse player than they were.
