I'm not sure Carolina is overly motivated at this point so maybe Sabres can beat them with any sort of decent effort. I saw Boston beat them a few games back and they were just going through the motions all game. This is part of the late season illusion with the home record. Teams locked into the playoffs only playing hard in front of their own fans. Coasting on the road.

Funny and sad.  Adams priority last off season was to rebuild the 4th line in order to make the playoffs, meanwhile the Canes 4th line is filled with ex Sabres.

Here's a fun one. Current contract vs. final contract AAV while with the Sabres

Hall              $6M   ;   $8M with BUF (Adams)

Jankowski  $775k ;   $750k with BUF (Adams 750-special)

Robinson    $950k ;  $1.6M with BUF (Kekalainen with CBJ)

Jost            $775k ;   $2M with BUF (Adams)

Carrier       $2M   ;   N/A with BUF (traded rights, but would have been an ELC). $2M equivalent to Lafferty's salary this season

Has there been a Eric Robinson tribute video, stop the game for a speech moment yet for his return to Buffalo, to recognize his unbelievable greatness with the Blue and Gold?

Robinson's goal totals in his NHL seasons: 7, 8, 10, 12, 3, 14. Guess which one was his season with the Sabres.

And in that season, 1 of those goals was scored while he was with CBJ.

Hall at $8M was a joke.  Has any Sabres player been paid more for less?

Christian Ehrhoff signed a 10-year, $40 million contract with the Sabres as a free agent in 2011 after two consecutive 14-goal seasons with the Vancouver Canucks.

He was bought out by Buffalo after just three seasons in 2014, leaving the team with an annual payment of $857,143 for 14 years, and will receive checks through 2027-28.

Sabres have beaten many of the best teams in the NHL over the past few weeks. Motivated or not, if they keep playing the way they have been, they can beat them.

Nothing good comes from a 1 year $8M contract.

Ville Leino and it's not even close.

Yes.  That was bad, but Hall was a former MVP and did nothing to help.

Steve Tasker added to the on ice festivities.

You could still make a case for him in Canton.

"could"?  It's a tragedy he's not in the HOF.
