Indabuff Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago What's your opinion on people having the phone in the air to record or stream concerts? No in between. Yea or nay. Quote
TheAud Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago So long as people don't hold them up in front of the person behind them more than a brief time here or there, it's fine. I question some of the videos people take, but whatever floats your boat. Attending concerts is a somewhat serious hobby of mine so I like to take a couple representative videos along with some pictures to document the show for me. I actually go back and watch them from time to time and one day (when I have time....) want to learn how to piece together videos and make montages of various concerts over the years. 1 Quote
PerreaultForever Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Kind of a moot point since your tickets are on your phone (unless you are some sort of luddite) so you're going to have it with you regardless. I never record anything, I'm an in the moment kind of person. Quote
Weave Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago They don’t bother me. You do you and I’ll do me. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Not a binary choice for me. Generally speaking, I don’t mind them. There have been a few situations where I found someone’s use of their phone to be obnoxious. Now, idle conversations on the other hand — those need to stop forever. steveoath Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago ***** hate it. Enjoy the moment. Fortunately the gigs I play if phones are held up, someone is likely to kick it out their hand haha. 1 1 Quote

You're there to experience a moment, to feel it. All your favorite artists already have music videos, no one wants yours. Live in the moment instead of worrying about a video you'll only watch 1 other time. Quote
Demoted Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago People pay big money for tickets just to watch the concert through the phone. Quote

I usually try to get the footage (we need to come up with a new term for that.) 1 Quote
Jorcus Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I guess it beats people blowing off fireworks or smoking so much that the arena was pretty much like building a fire in a chimney without opening the flue. Annoyances change with the times. Quote

If you want to take a short video or a couple pics, no problem at all. But doing it for all or most of the show is pretty annoying. If you have a Mac computer, iMOVIE is a great and easy program with a very small learning curve to splice and collage your vids and pics together all in one movie. Give it a try. Quote
