Brawndo Posted Saturday at 06:57 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:57 PM https://www.nhl.com/de/news/schlagschuss-episode-20-jj-peterka There is some good news about his future with the Sabres Interviewer: "Do you see your future in Buffalo and want to stick around to help the organization return to its former strength?" JJ: "Definitely. If you look at the talented young players we have and of which I'm now a part, I want to continue building on that. I think we can create something really special in the coming years." 7 1 Quote

Thorner Posted Saturday at 07:40 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:40 PM Sort of the copy paste answer but better than nothing I don’t think he’s a crucial piece but he’s a pretty good player Quote

I think he is a crucial piece. He's trending towards being a ppg winger. Will he ever be a Selke guy or a truly elite player? I don't think so; but ppg guys (especially homegrown ones) are what winning teams need. Quote

Few crucial players on a 75 point team. Never mind wingers. I’m not saying I wouldn’t keep him I’m saying he’s not a crucial piece in building a playoff team - we just signed a 50+ point winger in FA it’s the one thing you CAN get with relative ease. I see talent but not a game breaker right now with Peterka I’m not creating statues of him like Terry Edited Saturday at 07:51 PM by Thorner Quote

I think he’s a crucial piece in the sense that if we trade him we need to be getting a crucial piece back. 1 Quote

PerreaultForever Posted Sunday at 07:28 PM Report Posted Sunday at 07:28 PM Given the success St. Louis had I think we are going to see several offer sheets around the league this year and Peterka could be one of them. What KA does with it who knows. 1 Quote

So you're saying running multipage threads on players wanting out due to their reactions after they score might be a waste of time? That said, I remember UPL doing a Finnish interview where he seemed unhappy and didn't like being called UPL. Do you think we can lay into the UPL thing a little harder? I figure we can upgrade from him with a 37yo journeyman, and keep the $5 million a season for a new paint job in the arena. Quote

For some Buffalo has more appeal than florida and california, certainly if you are pretty well grounded. Quote
