Lol we’re so jaded that we just expect them to either not connect on one of them or for the puck to be stolen 4 minutes ago, Thorner said: A playoff defence? No 1 Quote

You can have 1 but not 2 of them on your club and be expects to be a playoff team They're the 4th, 6th, and 7th defensemen, and if it's a playoff team, they're trading for a rental for additional depth at the deadline. The lack of a true partner for Power to be the real #4, their ages/experience, and having less redundancy in puck-moving LHD are the larger issues. (As well as forwards who aren't great defensively, and a poor season from UPL.) Now, why 7/8 Bryson already has an extension -- that's another thread that's already ongoing. And yes, he should be the 8 that gets waived/clears every season. It's like TB, swapping: Hedman - Moser McDonagh - Samuelsson (Cernak) JBD (Raddysh) - Clifton (Lilleberg) (scratch: Bryson (Perbix) If your top 3 play like top-3 overall picks and are all solid 2-way veterans, it's a serviceable regular season corps and you add someone for the playoffs. Note: Cernak was drafted with a LA 2nd round pick traded with McNabb for Deslauriers and Fasching. Quote

Sadly these guys are in their 60’s and rather talk about life 40+ years ago than actually talk about the game Effectively this is the first full generation of the post-radio only broadcast style. RJ, Cole, Foley, Doc Emeric, among many others were either Radio-announcers or were direct protégés to them and modeled their calls to a degree off them. Most announcers nowadays have zero radio-only experience or if they do were meant purely as secondary broadcasts. The artistry of radio announcing going to TV was a very lucky combination of radio going way to TVs and teams keeping their announcers. Quote
