Reimer is a very composed goalie. No wasted movements to stay in position. He looks slow when moving but that’s because our other two goalies are spastic.

One thing you notice in person is Dahlin subtly shaking his head at some of the plays he sees his teammates make from behind the play

Reimer has been excellent

Reimer is playing like UPL is supposed to be playing.

Reimer is definitely not young anymore but his veteran goaltending is evident. He’s focused, no unnecessary movements, and anticipates plays well.

The anticipation part definitely comes from experience our other two severely lack.

Agreed. The tell with UPL is how much time he spends outside of his posts. When he is lacking confidence, not playing well, he frequently chases the game outside of his crease. He is doing that way too much. It’s like a free safety who doesn’t trust what anyone else in the secondary is supposed to do. It’s not an excuse (UPL needs to play better), but it’s reality. Hopefully he can learn from Reimer on this.

Agree to disagree but brining Reimer back might not be a bad idea. He’s steady and that’s something a team with this many holes needs.

We have almost the same issues as years past to include starting goaltending.
