As mentioned earlier, the best play of the game would have been to give Hertl the first star.

Nice ability to battle back. I thought the Sabres had some really good chances to take shots (legally) at Eichel after the hit on Kulich and didn't. I don't like that. Despite the play by Howden being clean in my opinion you have to play the rest of that game as though someone slapped your mother.  But.. this is the Sabres.

Lots to like, lots to still not like, but take the win. It's meaningless, but it's still a win.

Eichel scored the potential winner - then they tried to rub salt by forcing him the empty netter - and we took it personal.

REMEMBER THIS DAY FOLKS!!

This is the day we COULD look back on and say they finally grew a set and

Maybe Adams was right.. I mean clearly Cozens was the issue. Addition by subtraction

I don’t see how this can mean anything else other than Cozens being gone is a good thing?

Why is there a different vibe??

Sample size is good enough for me

Solid win for the Sabres.  This team is maddening.  Can put up a wins against top teams but went 1-7 against Detroit and Montreal.  Consistency is missing.

🙄 ok. The locker room feels different because they don’t have anymore pressure. It happens every year when they’re pretty much out of it.

Hopefully Dahlin doesn't flip flop.  But perhaps the comments attributed to Dahlin were before trade deadline?  Certainly having big emotion guys like Zucker and Greenway choose to re-up goes a long way to cementing that people want to be there.

I think we all could see that Cozens had checked out. He played, but not to his potential. He had been shopped and I am sure it got to him.

Either way, I want to see more and until the team wins consistently... we'll have to take these moments and cling to them even if they are as fleeting as the half-life of a muon.

That was entertaining. Pity we haven't seen more of that earlier in the year.

I'm not buying any of that late season we are a team now stuff. Krebs jumped in on the guy but everybody else stood around looking stunned and that was that. It's better than nothing but it's nothing special. I'd still like to see us initiate some of that more than just reacting to it.

But this game was fun to watch. I can't say that about most of the season.

I think people are reading into that comment too much. The pressure is off of them.

It was a fun game and it is always good to beat Vegas.

We had those up down moments too didn't we? Eichel scores to go ahead (worst possible outcome) but then they tie it. Olofsson scoring in the shootout. So close to being awful but they win. Can't ask for better than that.

Yep. I’m sure Vegas thought it would be great to beat the Sabres in the SO with two former players, then Eichel blows it

The win doesn’t have to be meaningless.   Short two top 6 guys, playing with a Rochester call up, coming from behind twice, winning in a shootout, all against a Cup contender.   They need to succeed and get a taste of winning games like this one.

That would have been funny to give Hertl a star, he definitely cost the Golden Knights the extra point. Also bad play by Petro clearing it up the middle right to Zucker.

You would think. I’ll believe it when I see it.
