Buffalo Sabres News & Notes:

The Sabres snapped a six-game losing streak with a 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers. Since the Four Nations break they are 3-5-1 averaging 3.11 goals per game while allowing 3.89 goals per game. Tage Thompson had two goals on Monday along with Alex Tuch adding another.

Detroit Red Wings News & Notes:

The Red Wings dropped their sixth straight game on Monday 2-1 to the Ottawa Senators despite the Red Wings outshooting the Senators 49-23. Dylan Larkin scored the lone goal for Detroit, it was his third in as many games. During the losing streak, they’ve scored three goals just once, averaging 1.83 goals per game while allowing 3.83 goals per game.

The six-game losing streak marks the lowest point thus far in the Todd McLellan era. Since replacing Derek Lalonde in late December, McLellan has accumulated a 17-11-2 record and led the team to a seven-game winning streak twice this year. Despite a lack-luster trade deadline, the Detroit sits three spots out a Wild Card spot.

With only 18 games left in the season, the Wings will need to get back on track in they look to make their return to the playoffs.

They've had two seven game winning streaks in one season?  That's wild.  According to chatgpt, the last time the sabres had a seven game winning streak was about 20 years ago...

They had a 10 gamer in 2018. But maybe that counts differently cause of OT wins or something 

or maybe you were searching for literal 7 gamers

I think I remember that, forgive me if I'm mistaken, but Biron won a whole bunch of those games, Galisano was the owner (?) and he invited Bill Clinton to the game when Bush W was very unpopular and the whole crowd cheered when Clinton waved to everyone. 

I think they were playing the Stars, not sure, but I was offered a free Sabres shirt I still own that cost me ALOT. I was not very financially savvy back then and signed up for a credit card to get the shirt and they sent me my first bill--though I never used the card--for $100! I never paid it and had bad credit--maybe still do?--but I never borrow money, so who cares.

I dont remember the game but there was a F-14 simulator that ran on Windows 95 that I can still hear the sound effects for.

Oh, TNT. Welp. 

I have a few days left of Max. I'm not going to renew... I tired of The Pitt after I had to go to an actual ER. I am signed in to Disney on someone else's account so I could binge watch M*A*S*H through an anxious time.

I think I've done all the free trials for services that would include TNT.

I am not inclined to pay to watch this game.

I have zero luck with pirated streams.

I guess I might try to listen to Dan.

I didn't specify regulation wins or regulation/overtime/so wins, so it could have interpreted it that in a bunch of ways i suppose.  Regardless, thanks for the info.  I think I do vaguely recall a longish winning streak during the eichel years.
