16 minutes to 40 minutes. Some interesting tidbits from Lance. Like locker room has no confidence in Adams, Peterka upset, Adams wanted Appert, Terry made the call for Lindy. Karmanos works from Pittsburgh.

Please Please Please Please Please Please Please FIRE Adams ASAP.

Was this out there in the Buffalo News?  He made it sound matter of fact, which if it’s true only adds to my hated for Adams.  I can’t recall hearing this other than speculation.

The more I think about this, the more I'm convincing myself that Biz is actually correct.  I suspect the Sabres made Dahlin issue those statements on camera (denying the allegations).  I have no proof, but I trust outsiders more than I trust anybody inside the organization....even Dahlin.  I do believe Dahlin wanted to tell management he's giving them one last chance.....but the organization is incapable of achieving this.

Then Dahlin should get an academy award for best Acting by a bilingual hockey player

He definitely talked to Adams, he is definitely unhappy with losing, in his rebuttal he said he never said “leave”.  But he said a lot other things.

I was really pissed last game and it’s going to continue.

That would mean the Terry Pegula was the smarter of the two on coaches which is honestly rather sad. Why in God's name would anyone think firing Granato to promote Appert was a great idea?

That was a damning interview for sure.  In a normal organization I just don’t see how he’d survive the offseason.  But this isn’t a normal organization.

It makes me feel more than ever that this team will never get better because Terry is going to run it his way.  No veteran GMs will work for him if he has such control and so many guidelines on how to run the team.

So much for hire the best, then empower and support them.  That is too easy.

I doubt I will purchase another Sabres ticket, lets see what the off-season brings.

And BTW, once the players hear this interview you can bet they will be wanting out too.

We don't really know that.  We do know that Lindy has them playing worse than Granato did.   Most of the young players have regressed.  What did Lindy do, help rebuild the do nothing 4th line?

There were many other veteran coaches to be interviewed that were just as relevant Lindy.  Another case of hiring who he knows and likes and can control.

Terry is the root of it all.

Well I’m happier with Ruff than I would have Appert. Doesn’t seem like an exhaustive search was ever in the cards.

Whether Dahlin said it or not, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he wants out of Buffalo. Thing is that any star player who considers themselves a superstar knows that they can make a ton of extra money in endorsements by playing on a big market team like like Boston, Philly, New York, Toronto, LA, Montreal, Colorado, etc. rather than on a small market team like Buffalo. There are always exceptions to the rule, but nowadays no matter how much a star is making, more money in their pockets is often more important than remaining loyal to one team, unfortunately.

The Pegula riddle as an owner has me baffled. His football and lacrosse franchises are marvelously successful. He has the standard template for success in place for these two pro sports of hiring quality people and empowering them to do their jobs. It appears, that he has no desire to apply that same formula to his dismal hockey franchise. It is maddening and makes no bloody sense.

We've reached the breaking point.

It sounds like if Adams is back there might be a revolt in the locker room as well as the fanbase.

Please fire him. Just get me a name at this point: Holland, Dudley, someone who has a history of success to put a Front Office and GM in place and go from there.

Im 100% sure they need a name to come in to the organization to have agents and players a different view of the franchise.

No credible GM candidate is going to take the GM job unless the candidate is assured of having the authority to make decisions. I'm not sure that Pegula is going to empower someone to that extent. The owner seems to want to have the last say regarding how to manage his toy franchise.

Dudley would be interesting. But Pegula would need to have urgency and brains.

The rub is that Adams *does* have authority to make decisions - because Terry trusts Adams. That’s the underplayed aspect I’ve been saying all along - of course he wants his voice heard, but he doesn’t need to force Adams to do things: he hired Adams specifically because he liked what he was going to do - and how he operates. The Marek segment illustrated this - that Adams is the one declining experience being added to the fold. He’s in charge.

It comes to the same issue in that the better candidates are seemingly unavailable to us, but it’s that Terry wouldn’t hire them at all, not that he’d egregiously interfere after they are hired.

Adams has rope because Terry trusts him.

It all comes down to money.

The salary cap in the National Lacrosse League is approximately 1.6 million, which the Bandits probably come very close to given the level of talent they have. There are nine home games in the regular season, plus playoff games. The revenues for the team exceeds the operating costs and there appears to be little input from the owner. Notice he was not with the team for the championship celebration.

Everyone knows the NFL prints money with its revenue streams and the Bills Organization is a direct recipient of that. Beane and McDermott have every available resource at their disposal they need. They can spend to the salary cap, the front office gets as much personnel as it needs, same goes for the the coaching staff and sports performance staff. Both Beane and McDermott were rising stars and ready for their current roles and have had success. They also have the best quarterback in the league.

The Sabres players can see what is happening relative to most other teams in the league in terms of overall spending. They know that Skinner’s Buyout savings has gone unspent. They hear Adams preaching the goal of the past two season is the playoffs, all while the TDL has passed twice with the franchise having well north of six million in cap space each time. They see a GM and a coaching staff that cannot get the job done, but probably will remain largely intact for the final year of their contracts in 2025-26.

They also see a roster that was constructed for three different coaches with players being brought in to suit different styles of coaching.

A large drop in STH renewals and embarrassing national media coverage has an extremely slim chance of causing some sort of change, but I doubt it.
When the national broadcaster who called your game four days ago is suggesting a reset, you probably should pay attention.

Hopefully the season tickets holders  hear the call to arms and don't renew

I wanted Dudley like 10 years ago or something. I think he might be a little old for it now but I certainly wouldn't mind him being named as some sort of senior advisor or executive that had the power to hire a new GM etc.

Adams needs to go. Roster construction is abysmal. HC hires - abysmal.

The coaching staff. Need to go. How can we have a PK and PP that is so pisspoor? I am even questioning Bales. No discernible improvements in UPLs game. Woefully inconsistent.

We are a top 3 5-on-5 scoring team. (According to latest pdocast). We should be higher in the standings.

I have to say, of all the things wrong with this org, the assistant GM living in Pittsburgh is maybe the furthest thing down the list. Actually, it’s 2025. I don’t even think this is a thing.

The assistant GM working remotely is very much a thing. Working remotely is fine for some jobs. It is definitely not okay for higher level management jobs where collaboration is crucial.

I need to watch the clip later.
