I absolutely believe that Dahlin would say this. Why in the hell would he waste the prime years of his career in Buffalo in the bottom 3rd of the league. He see what happens when you go somewhere else. The grass is literally greener just about anywhere were else in the league.

First.. the source.

Second.. the "threat".  Dahlin has zero leverage. He's under contract until 2032.

Third.. yeah, turn it around. At least we all agree on something.

End summation: Nothing to see here. I'll put money on Bissonette trying to sow seeds of discourse.  He's an NHL shock jock, and not a good one.

Not buying this clickbait.

So you think Dahlin is fine with being last in the east, again? You have no thought that Dahlin could maybe want to go to a team that actually wins?  A team that consistently gets into the playoffs? He’s approaching his peak years and he knows it’s ***** or get off the pot time soon

But the real question is not if Dahlin is fine with it.  It's more is the source full of crap and just looking for attention.  thus "clickbait". I don't think anyone's going to make an argument that Dahlin is happy with it. I don't think anyone would make an argument that ANYONE is happy with it.

Hard not to think he would be as frustrated by the way this team has been run, constructed and deconstructed over his time here.

Pegula what the HE double hockey sticks are you doing to your supposed beloved Sabres... get this team right or GTFO by now.

Wait maybe I misread the title, and it would make more sense, turn it around or KA is gone.  That must be where you are coming from.

Eichel was in the middle of an 8 year deal when he was traded.  Star players always have leverage. Also remember that Adams said he only wants players who truly want to be in Buffalo.

I honestly don’t think that Pegula would listen to any player. They are just a commodity to him

Didn't Eichel have some sort of injury thingy that was a tiny portion of the situation?

Well that was a joke.

I don't really put much faith into what Bissonette says either. He seems more like a guy who likes to scream and yell on the set when he is on TV, he's the attention getter, the token Leafs fan on the broadcast.

I didn't listen to the clip yet, but how would HE be the one with this info at all, or at least first, before any of the legit journalists with a lot more connections around the league or even the local guys that travel with the team and talk to the players and Adams on a weekly or daily basis?

As others have said about Dahlin if this is true...he doesn't have much leverage in the matter. Is he going to leave and go back to Sweden and leave all that money on the table?

Also, if this were true and he were really really frustrated, the person to express that to would be Pegula, not Adams.

Tell that to Pegula.  If you think Adams is bad, tell him you are frustrated with Adams.  Tell Pegula to open up the checkbook and get him some help.

As I brought up in another thread,

Prior to his injury there were reports that eichel said he wanted out. The injury just gave Adams a “reason” to trade him

I think he has a tonne of leverage. He starts by telling Adams he wants out. Then, if he isn’t moved by a certain date, he tells the world.

His full NMC kicks in this summer on July 1. So the leverage is, trade him now when his value is high and there are lots of options, or trade him later when he’s pouting and his play sucks and you can only trade him where he wants to go.

None of this seems consistent with Dahlin’s personality. But the leverage is there. Now, we could just say no, but the damage would be done.

Terry, best to just fire Adams before it come a to this.

I would give this story a lot of attention if it came from one of the more reputable insiders.

What kind of connections or what kind of journalistic legwork does he do that others do not so he is the one breaking this?

So is Dahlin going to get a neck injury?  The issue with Eichel was he literally could not play hockey without surgery.  It's not apples to apples.  I get leverage and all that.

Losing Dahlin would impact this team, I'm not about to defend some player who took an $11M contract and then turn around and forced his way off the team. If he was that concerned he should have negotiated a shorter contract.  Him pushing his way off the team would negatively impact the team. A team we all want to improve. So, if he pushes his way off the team he's contributing to this team losing more.

Why on Earth would I support him in his endeavor?  I wouldn't.

I HOPE Dahlin told Adams this.

Nothing seems to get through to these people that 14 years without the playoffs is not acceptable. That not having a plan to improve is not OK. That cheaping out on the Sabres and hoping things improve is not a plan.

Id have Tage and Tuch go too with the same message. Maybe that would wake Pegula up to what an absolute clusterf$&k this organization is
