I see ppl didn't like this. It's true though.

B.c its True of every GM. The ones that don't draft a good QB usually are not GMs for long.  Bill Belichick wouldn't have been on the Patriot for as long if he didn't get lucky and draft Brady.

I know radio stations are in the business of self promotion but their current level of self indulgence is obnoxious.  Everywhere I turn it’s someone affiliated with the station hyping up Beane teeing off on them.  Just weird.

Interesting.

I watched a lot of pro wrestling as a kid and enjoy listening to people (insiders) talk about the business of pro wrestling as an adult. I especially enjoy the vernacular that has grown up around pro wrestling.

With that context and in light of the observation you've made above, I'm now getting to wonderWas Beane cussing out the WGR guys a "work?"

Excuse me? Cherry picking? Your image literally proves what I said. Hollins and Cooper, and their 106 yards, are gone.

No one thought Hollins was anything before last season. This year we have Josh Palmer and a healthy Curtis Samuel. And it's likely we will add one more free agent. Don't panic. Beane knows what he's doing.

Except Bill Belichick had excellent player personnel people like Scott Pioli during their Super Bowl run. Bill on his wasn't that good.

And with due respect, I still don't think he's any great shakes. He benefited from being in a fairly thin WR room (and the team not having a good option for "the X") and from having an All-Pro QB.

If the guy weren't such a character (the walk-in outfits, the life hack videos on Instagram), his offseason departure would have been far less newsworthy than it was.

I loved Beane calling out the fantasy schmucks on WGR. Now he needs to tell Schopp to sign up for Gamblers Anonymous.

Glad I never got the gambling jones.  There has been some intimation that gambling has been an issue for him and the openness which they discuss it still feels weird to this old codger.
