... Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM Report Posted yesterday at 02:58 AM I so appreciate the Bill's ability to pick humble, appreciative kids with quality personalities. They make liking the team easy. 7 Quote
Pimlach Posted yesterday at 05:04 AM Report Posted yesterday at 05:04 AM Agree. They keep finding good players and fitting them in. Hoping the trend continues. Quote
carpandean Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago Brandon Beane is a little upset about his perception of the morning show's (and other show's) reaction to the draft. Paraphrasing: "It feels a little like 2018, where everyone was upset that they took Josh Allen instead of Josh Rosen, with how you're reacting to not taking a WR earlier. You just watched us put 30+ points for 8 straight games and lead the league in points scored. I just don't understand the reaction." 1 Quote

Beane seemed to come in with an ax to grind. Quote

Jeremy's response: "As the kids would say, he chose violence today," and then, "we're not playing fantasy football - we're smarter than that - and we're not here to be belittled." 1 Quote

I thought Jeremy did pretty good. He let Beane go and then defended himself and then let Beane respond some more. I don't think I've ever heard Beane sound dickish like that before. Porous Five Hole Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago LOL Brandon Beane was VERY spicy. And he had a hard time getting past it. Quote

I like what I’m reading here from the Beane perspective, but that’s just my personal spin based on pretty much zero information. Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I haven’t listened yet, but the fact that Twitter is largely clowning on the WGR guys leads me to being more on the side of the WGR hosts. Quote
Mr. Allen Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Didn’t hear it yet but good for Beanne. He’s led the Bills to where we are today. He deserves our trust and respect. If he says a guy is better than another guy; believe it. If he says taking all defense is the way to go, believe it. He’s a Brandon F’ing Beanne! Big Baller Beanne some will say. Quote

Big Baller Beanne some will say. No it wasn't good for Beane. He came off as condescending and defensive. Also trust and respect doesn't not equal cannot be questioned. That's some bs if you think that to be blunt. Jeremy White was going to ask a good question, and Beanne couldn't handle it and didn't even get asked in the end. 1 Quote
LGR4GM Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Sorry but this https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI_b-czRFh3/?igsh=MWJmd3E2eHgxNHZrdA== Was a bit extra from the Bills GM. Quote

The fact that he unmasked in this way seems to suggest to me that he might be smelling his own farts (??), reading his own press clippings … or just generally taking undue pride in the team’s accomplishments under his tenure. Stay humble. Keep grinding. Growth mindset. And so on. Quote

(That segment was the only one this kid listened to, so maybe the rest of the interview was more condescending and defensive.) Probably would've been better served to have waited until tomorrow to take the interview, but expect the Bills are contracted to WGR to have him available on the Monday after the draft. And, don't normally stick up for Jeremy White, but thought he responded well to Beane's statements. Quite professional. Quote

He came back to it again near the end and tossed out the "this isn't fantasy football" thing again and said something about ppl only knowing who the skill position players are. 1 Quote
That Aud Smell Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago I wonder if the influence of the no holds barred vibe on podcasts — including the use of spicy language as the norm — played a role here. Quote

Eh. I don’t think it was that bad. Now I don’t know what Jeremy said before it, but sounded like Beanne was just defending his teams actions (and by team, I mean the scouting team and people involved in the draft) Quote

Agree with Beane, the people wanting a WR are just looking for a flashy toy. When the whole problem last year was the defense. Good to see Beane not back down to the Armchair GMs. Quote
