Brandon Beane is a little upset about his perception of the morning show's (and other show's) reaction to the draft.  Paraphrasing:  "It feels a little like 2018, where everyone was upset that they took Josh Allen instead of Josh Rosen, with how you're reacting to not taking a WR earlier.  You just watched us put 30+ points for 8 straight games and lead the league in points scored.  I just don't understand the reaction."

I just happened to be in the car for that... interview. Beane seemed to come in with an ax to grind.

I thought Jeremy did pretty good. He let Beane go and then defended himself and then let Beane respond some more. I don't think I've ever heard Beane sound dickish like that before.

So would you say this is a good thing or a bad thing? I like what I’m reading here from the Beane perspective, but that’s just my personal spin based on pretty much zero information.

I haven’t listened yet, but the fact that Twitter is largely clowning on the WGR guys leads me to being more on the side of the WGR hosts.

Didn’t hear it yet but good for Beanne.  He’s led the Bills to where we are today.  He deserves our trust and respect. If he says a guy is better than another guy; believe it.  If he says taking all defense is the way to go, believe it.  He’s a Brandon F’ing Beanne!

No it wasn't good for Beane. He came off as condescending and defensive. 

Also trust and respect doesn't not equal cannot be questioned. That's some bs if you think that to be blunt. Jeremy White was going to ask a good question, and Beanne couldn't handle it and didn't even get asked in the end.

Yeah. The fact that he unmasked in this way seems to suggest to me that he might be smelling his own farts (??), reading his own press clippings … or just generally taking undue pride in the team’s accomplishments under his tenure.

Stay humble. Keep grinding. Growth mindset. And so on.

Personally would say he came off as tired and exasperated.  (That segment was the only one this kid listened to, so maybe the rest of the interview was more condescending and defensive.)

Probably would've been better served to have waited until tomorrow to take the interview, but expect the Bills are contracted to WGR to have him available on the Monday after the draft.

And, don't normally stick up for Jeremy White, but thought he responded well to Beane's statements.  Quite professional.

He came back to it again near the end and tossed out the "this isn't fantasy football" thing again and said something about ppl only knowing who the skill position players are.

I have very little faith in anyone WGR rolls out there. They’re college radio most of the time.

Eh.  I don’t think it was that bad.  Now I don’t know what Jeremy said before it, but sounded like Beanne was just defending his teams actions (and by team, I mean the scouting team and people involved in the draft)

Agree with Beane, the people wanting a WR are just looking for a flashy toy.  When the whole problem last year was the defense. Good to see Beane not back down to the Armchair GMs.
