JustOneParade Posted Monday at 02:10 AM Report Posted Monday at 02:10 AM By the time all these young QB’s sign their second contracts in a few years Josh will be back to middle of the pack on the QB pay scale. That’s one hell of a team friendly contract. But that’s Josh. Quote

That’s one hell of a team friendly contract. But that’s Josh. As a percentage of team's cap space allocated to QB contracts, Josh's deal ranks 13th in the league. In that very important sense, he's already middle of the pack. Quote
PromoTheRobot Posted Monday at 03:12 PM Report Posted Monday at 03:12 PM "Legal Tampering" period for free agents starts today. Get ready for fun. Beane was busy extending/restructuring/releasing players all weekend just to make cap room. Quote
triumph_communes Posted Monday at 04:34 PM Report Posted Monday at 04:34 PM (edited) Josh deal is great. Personifies team player. Sets the tone with what anyone signing here should be repeating Now go overhaul our defense. Thank you Von for not being too greedy Edited Monday at 04:34 PM by triumph_communes Quote

John Tucker Posted Monday at 08:31 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:31 PM And maybe someone inside KA’s inner circle (of two people) will tell him that it is actually possible for a player to sign with a Buffalo team and leave palm trees behind! That is, if the team isn’t a Mickey Mouse run fiasco like the one he is GM Quote
inkman Posted Monday at 08:31 PM Report Posted Monday at 08:31 PM I’ve been reading up on Palmer. Not overly impressed. 1 Quote

He’ll stretch the field and take the top off the defense and that’s really what they need him for to open up the underneath stuff. With that being said, 13 million a year or whatever it is, is a lot of money for a one trick pony! Edited Monday at 09:35 PM by John Tucker Bc Quote

Imo, he got stifled in Harbaugh’s more conservative offense but that 15+ yards per reception the last couple years is nothing to sneeze at. 1 Quote
FrenchConnection44 Posted Monday at 10:15 PM Report Posted Monday at 10:15 PM Well deserved for Allen. Total franchise player. Also interesting that he is only the fourth quarterback to win the MVP but not be named first team all pro. But I agree with that situation. I failed to pay attention when he won MVP. It’s an interesting category, but I get it and it made sense a couple of times in the past. Like in ‘87: Joe Montana was first team all pro and deservedly so. He was the best quarterback in football that year and the best quarterback in the game. But Elway was deserving of the MVP because of the fact that he carried the Broncos so far with lesser talent. Night Train Posted 21 hours ago Report Posted 21 hours ago The story yesterday is the size of the new NFL contracts with the bump in the cap. Glad I don't have seasons anymore. Those salaries explain why ticket prices are now a mortgage payment. Quote
