D. Didn’t do much but rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.

I agree with this. He didn’t make the team better. Putting a lot of faith in Norris and his shoulder which is a crap shoot. Got a 4th for Joki. Basically a give away. The rest of the moves are window dressing. Adams is incapable of building a team. That much is obvious.

B-

At worst, as another poster said, he reshuffled the deck while holding a losing hand.

At best, he replaced Cozens (3rd line C/middle 6 W) with an actual 2C.

Took flyers on stay at home RHDS.

The trade deadline was never going to solve this teams issues. The off-season was always, unfortunately, going to be required to attempt it

“Buffalo Sabres: B

There’s now a clearer vision of what the Sabres could look like in 2025-26, and it’s a different vision than the one general manager Kevyn Adams had two seasons ago when he signed Dylan Cozens to a seven-year contract worth more than $7 million per year. Adams said earlier this season he was willing to listen to trade offers for core players, and he followed through with one of his boldest moves during his tenure. Adams wanted to make his roster better with player-for-player trades that could shake up the mix of a roster that has underachieved for two straight seasons. Whether he accomplished that remains to be seen. The Sabres added Josh Norris, who can be a prolific scorer when he’s healthy. This deadline is just the beginning, but it’s also the clearest sign yet that Adams is altering his plan and trying to change the identity of this team on the fly. — Matthew Fairburn”

"Adams is altering his plan"

"One of the boldest moves during his tenure"

I like Fairburn but man, this is blowing smoke. Adams traded his 2c for Ottawas 2c. It's not like he packaged Peterka and Byram for idk, Necas or something. Sure, there's a degree of "bold" cuz you moved a player you put in your core but this team is last in the east... it's not bold to be trading things from it.

The fact that Jacob Bryson is still on this team says all you need to know about ka's ability to build a playoff team. Bryson wouldn't come close to making a playoff team lineup and yet he is still here

I give him a C

he was at least intelligent enough to not trade Tuch or Peterka.

a glaring need at #2 RHD is still there and he needs 2 more zuckers. Hopefully he can get these 3 things in UFA and/or trades.

And I think his continuation as GM really relies on Levi becoming a top 15 NHL goalie next year. UPL has proven this year that his best role is as a backup
