DarthEbriate Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 (edited) OK... I guess some insurance for the Amerks kids in the playoffs. And to challenge Ryan Johnson for 7/8 for the Sabres next season. For the Amerks, is Kozak coming back into the lineup for NAK at some point? Or is Kozak's injury for the season? Edited March 7 by DarthEbriate Quote

Flashsabre Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 He’s an AHL superstar type dman. Good for Rochester’s run. I would give him a game or two with Dahlin at some point. They had very good chemistry at the WJCs 1 Quote
DarthEbriate Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 Contract-wise, Brannstrom is a RFA, which is protection for losing Clague to UFA in the summer. Quote

I'd love to know why these things happen so much. Is it just so simple as needing to create an open slot in order to add the guy? Quote

GASabresIUFAN Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 I really like this move. Erik was a 1st rd pick and is a talented guy who for whatever reason it hasn't quite come together in the NHL. He's only 25. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he competes for a depth role in Buffalo next year. I think he is an upgrade on Clague and will help the Amerks. 2 2 Quote

Expand As someone who seen him a lot before his trade to Ottawa, the only question I had about him was his size. He’s 5’9” and isn’t that big. This trade could be a decent one. Quote
PerreaultForever Posted March 7 Report Posted March 7 I guess he's a depth guy since they moved Gilbert and maybe Jokiharju. Quote
