shrader Posted Friday at 08:25 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:25 PM Well that’s an odd choice for Boston. Do they want him long term? Otherwise it’s pointless. Quote

With McAvoy out, Hampus out, and Carlo traded... they simply needed a D-man. Joker basically steps into the RD1 for them. (Which... pretty good opportunity for him to go into UFA.) Quote

Providence doesn’t look to be high enough up that you wouldn’t want to disrupt them with a call up.  But whatever, at least we got something for him. Quote

shrader Posted Friday at 08:35 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:35 PM I can’t imagine that Boston was flirting with the floor after the money they’ve sent out today. I just can’t see any other reason to add Jokiharju unless they need to add some salary. Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted Friday at 08:36 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:36 PM So we traded 2 of our active D-men. Someone getting called up from Roch? 1 Quote

Very likely not, they were already routinely going 11-7. JBD is on LTIR at the moment, but he should be back within a week (he was already practicing with Ottawa). If someone does get called up, if it's not Ryan Johnson, it's just a couple-game look-see for them to see the NHL speed. But today's trades don't lead to anyone getting an extended end-of-season look. Edited Friday at 08:41 PM by DarthEbriate Quote
SHAAAUGHT!!! Posted Friday at 08:41 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:41 PM Finally this guy is gone.  One of the softest players on the softest team.  Curious what the return is… 1 Quote

And I've seen him give retaliatory slashes and get scrappy, something I've not seen from Samuelsson. But it is true, he wasn't going to clear the crease. I don't know if JBD will, either. Joker is heavier than JBD. 1 Quote
Palm Trees And Taxes Posted Friday at 08:45 PM Report Posted Friday at 08:45 PM That 3rd round pick in 2027 will be a huge asset for the 2031 Sabres as the playoff drought extends into a 22nd season 3 2 Quote
