Ride with two of Peterka, Quinn, Benson and Kulich, swap the other two out for veterans who make plays, battle and defend.

BriseBois throws away picks for Gourde and Jeannot, but there's only a few pick slots difference between his 1st and Buffalo's 2nd. The problem is one team is generating plenty of playoff revenue and 2 Cups and has a roster that can flip the switch to kick-ass at any time. And the other is.... 

none of those things.

I'm fine with the trade but it does seem like a miniscule type of upgrade if it is one. Also, I worry about Norris' injury issues.

Why?  He’s been terrible for two straight seasons.  Every player on the Sabres roster was worse when Dylan is on the ice.

Why are we equating the 2nd round pick to the defenseman?  Each of the players Buffalo acquired have the higher ceiling.  That's the price of the 2nd round pick here.

I thought it was Thompson as 1C and Norris as 2C?
