I would have done Kasper in a heartbeat.  I'd rather have that kid than Josh Norris.  Maybe I'm wrong and Norris finally stays healthy like Nugent Hopkins who was really injury prone at the start of his ccareer.

I will say it being a hockey trade makes sense, we shouldn’t be trading for picks. It would have had to look like a steal to me, though, for my positive feelings re: the deal to be strong enough to outweigh the disappointment this deal represents in terms of what it likely foretells for Adams’ future

We all aren't going to agree on this....I respect anyone who disagrees with me as I'm wrong as much as I'm correct, but I think when this is official the Sabres immediately are a better team. Mostly because you got rid of Cozens.

The fact that they got a guy who scores at a 30+ goal pace and shoots almost double the % cozens does...I'm invested a little more the rest of the season.

Cozens tries hard, he gives this team effort.  In a way, I'm happy if he gets a chance to start with a new team in a new situation.

We aren’t spending to cap so extra cap is irrelevant to them

The whole point is, Kevyn Adams, is the tumor that needs to be pulled.  He's making this team WORSE for the long haul.  Re-signing Greenway in a vaccum is a fine thing to do, but paying him more for his output is ASININE.  Kevyn Adams is an idiot, in every sense of the word.

I think cozens is done with the Sabres. After his no response last night really makes me feel that he’s given up
