Like a guy his age.  Seems to be a sharp guy.

He’s saying EXACTLY what I (and others) say yet he’s far more positive on twitter imo. Very interesting imo.

Didn’t really expect him to be this blunt

certainly leaves door open for Adams firing

I feel dumb for not thinking more about Granato’s aptitude, particularly with younger players

it’s like Adams wanted the coach for a team he didn’t build

Two wrongs don’t make a right

The team’s performance leaves the door open for firing.

I got the feeling Kevyn is not going anywhere.  Sounds like he is complying with the boss.

I mean this can be totally true - but it’s contingent on literally one person’s whim. How set in stone can it be? It’s true as of Pegula’s mindset right now. Predicting how that mindset could shift over the course of a number of, even weeks, would I say be a dicey proposition

Lance really hammers in on specifically Adams’ resistance to bringing in experienced help. That he wanted people with lesser experience in roles around him

Fairly damning

“there is a distrust between players and management. In terms of, they don’t agree with the direction of this franchise.”

Lance saying “definitely” to whether the success of the bills has come at the expense of the sabres..

that’s such a gut punch for a non buffalo guy with no particular ties to Bills

I’ve believed for a while that Pegula can only focus on one pro sports team at a time, and the Bills have sucked-up all the air in his room. The Sabres are the bastard step-child that are suffocating to death as a result.

The Most eye opening thing fo me was that it was Adams who didn’t want senior people around him. I know Kypreos and Doug Maclean joked how Doug couldn’t get his buddy Adams to hire him. Wonder who some of the other names were.

All the more reason he needs a strong Team President and GM.

So of course, he refuses to do this.

This off season he’s going to learn for the first time he has a team that no longer believes in him and the organization.

It used to be - the coach, the players were too young, Jack got the C too soon, ROR lost his love of the game, or we just had bad goaltending.

This is different now.  I think this team was sad when Granato got fired.  The GM hired a guy I’m pretty sure the owner told him to hire.  The players see it’s a joke.  The GM had the disaster palm trees press conference.

They’ve quit.  This is a bad combination of soft guys, young guys, one real “hate losing more then love winning guy,” and low hockey IQ guys - that doesn’t show up on the analytics.

Strong GMs figure this out.

Exactly. He phrases it like it was Adams wanting to run the show. His idea to remain very inexperienced, front office and otherwise. I think we’ve somehow been easy on Adams

Apparently Peterka is Terry’s favourite because there’s a connection with his kid? Dear lord

The Bills and Sabres could both be successful if he lets the hockey guy run it as Beane does the Bills.

But Terry is a hockey guy and his GM doesn’t need any other execs and consultants.  Meanwhile Florida GM Bill Zito made sure his exec consultant got his name on the Cup - that would be Rick Dudley who lives in WNY.

Oh, and Peterka being the favorite was pretty creepy.

Sounds much more like it’s Adams resistant to adding experience

Adams is calling the shots. Terry demands to be heard but the point that’s underplayed is he TRUSTS Adams. People say that and then are flippantly like “oh and he orders him around.” Enough - he’s a grown man. He doesn’t have to order him around because he trusts his (awful) judgment

They’ve known eachother and worked together for 13 years they said

I'm all out of hope and optimism. This season has really broken me as a fan. Mostly I'm mad at myself for letting the hope creep back in after the promising 2022/23 season. Last season sucked, but there are countless examples of young teams taking a temporary step back after a step forward. My confidence was shaken, but there was still a glimmer there. This season has been like having a bucket of ice water dumped on me. It 100% isn't working. This iteration of the eternal rebuild has failed and there is no indication any meaningful change is coming. As I say ad nauseam, this isn't a serious organization. We have a GM without the first clue of how to build a winning hockey team. We have a coaching staff headed by an ill-fitting retread and nepotism staff. And worst of all, an owner who is either too stubborn to admit he doesn't have a clue what he's doing or simply doesn't care. Any way you look, we fans are screwed and I don't see how it gets better until there is a change at the very top of the pyramid.

I've been a fan for 35 years so I can't walk away, but ***** it just sucks being a fan of this organization. We're being held hostage by a huckster and his squadron of yes men.

At least we are a soap opera

Queue the SNL skit “The Buffalonians”…..

(Fade in - a young man in Tonawanda NY with an exaggerated long A accent asks) “Hey Mom, how’s the traffic on the 190 this morning?  Sully and the boys are picking me up for the tailgate before the Bills game.  We gotta stop at Tim Hortons on Sheridan first.  Yeah, I have the half baked Bocce Club in the garage refrigerator.  We’re heating it up in Fitzys new pizza oven”.

There are a series of references to local fare like Beef on Wick and Ted’s Hot Dogs. The 90, 33, and 290 when everyone asks the best way to get to a Bills game. And every episode pits one family member against another because their favorite wing joint is different.

Everyone Loves Josh Allen, and 90% hate Terry, Adams and the Sabres.  And the one person that loves them is teased by the others relentlessly. Then there is a joke where the guest host is a cousin, Uncle, or Aunt from another state and they don’t even know what the Sabre are…”never heard of them” says Aunt Patty.  Then a course of the cast, in unison in a mocking fashion answer ….”The Buffalo Sabres reason for existence is to win the Stanley Cup”.  Then, they all start laughing.  Followed by drinking, and then quiet. Close up on the character who loves the team where a small tear drop rolls down his face….

Fade to black -  literally.
