Again, Cozens is also a 30 goal scorer. Can’t the analysis go beyond “hey look at his db page”.

Cozens did score 30g, but is he a 30g scorer moving forward?

Is he a 2 way center?

From what I have read, not really.  He is adequate in the defensive zone, nothing more.

But adequate in the defensive zone is better than Dylan Cozens, and he also is a more dangerous scorer.

I would be much more invested in the rest of the season if this is true and it does happen.

So we go from a player who at least stays on the ice struggling, to a guy who is a more talented scorer, but cannot stay healthy.  I despise Kevyn Adams with a passion.

Cozens, for his career, including his 31 goal season, scores 18 goals per 82 games and shoots 9.9%

Norris, for his career, including his 35 goal season, scores 31 goals per 82 games, and shoots 17.9%

I’ll take adequate I’m also hearing he’s a good face off guy which is a plus.

Maybe the 'change of scenery' thing would be good for both players?

Yeah...maybe that is a reach, I don't always believe that a change of scenery helps....you are usually who you are....just Cozens is so bad away from the puck the team needs a change.

Norris is somewhat better as he is a -29 in his career over 236 games while Cozens is a -54 over 341 games.  Extrapolating Norris at the same number of games as Cozens and he would be a -41. Not great, but better.

Also...interestingly enough there is a player named Dylan Cozens that plays for the Milwaukee Brewers as well...same exact spelling. Kinda wild 2 players with such uncommon first and especially last names would be pro athletes at the same time.

He scored 35 4 years ago and has never played more than 66 games in nhl. So yes, very underwhelming

Combined with greenway we aren’t the healthiest roster
