I agree....it seems like anyone that shows toughness must be moved . Whats with the second round pick ?

If they stink next year that pick will be like a low round 1st...Kevin Adams strikes again.

Reminder

It's not translating because he's still somewhat raw offensively, but even what skill he has isn't producing because right now his biggest offensive asset is getting the puck to the front of the net and he's most frequently skating with guys like Krebs, Quinn, and Cozens...none of whom are good finishers right now. Maybe the addition of Norris, a better scorer than any of those guys, will help him?

I don’t think Benson will ever be a scorer unless he adds 10-15 pounds of muscle - just gets a lot stronger to strengthen his shot. (This is doable; look at what Bryson Dechambeau did with adding muscle and power in a single off season; then even toned himself back some and still has great power).

Right now he has to have one of the weakest shots in the league, doesn’t threaten anyone with his scoring ability, and he doesn’t have the strength for a quick flick of the wrist that has any velocity (a la someone like Tuch). In connection with that he needs to develop his legs and try to be a stronger and faster skater. His mind and instincts are there. But physically he is just lacking.

How much time will Norris actually stay on the ice ?  KA could have made tons more moves. Disappointed.

When he plays he looked pretty good against us. The guy can put the puck into the net.

I pretty much saw he checked out on the Sabres in that game.  Normally he jumps into the fray.  Adam’s probably told him he was shopping him.

If I were to say what are some ways that Cozens made me unhappy with him as a player, I might list:

-He is awful defensively, for sure not a 2-way player.

-his physical game has gone away, not standing up for Dahlin last night was really bad. Its also not the only time it has happened with him.

-he's a pretty bad shooter, no accuracy, He has the lowerst shooting percentage this year of any forward on the team now not named Sam Lafferty.

-in the offensive zone he does't see his linemates and doesn't set them up. I have said on this forum before, he's a 'black hole' in the slot. Once the puck goes into him, it never comes back out. Not a playmaker that sets up his linemates at all.

Well, in his post-trade interview with Ottawa media he said the following:

"I think I'm a player that can play a strong two-way game and bring a physical side, and then also a shooting and playmaking side," Cozens said following the trade.

Norris expected to play tomorrow against Florida. JBD will not secondary to immigration issues

This one I can't figure out....the guy has played games in the USA before and flown in with Ottawa, right?

Ok, makes sense. I would just think with how often this happens, the NHL would have some kind of system set up where delays wouldn't be an issue, especially when the guy is a Canadian.

If Cozens thinks he’s a playmaker he is so far gone there is no bringing him back.

The only way he will find success is being on the wing and skating down his wing as fast as he can and blasting the puck. No thinking, no responsibilities

Not to sound like a dick but international politics between the US and Canada and immigration in the US is kinda ***** up.

I honestly think Cozens quit on this team to force a trade. After he signed his deal he saw the team futility and he's never been the same since Hathaway pounded him. He might have viewed that moment differently than we do and so now why stand up for a team that didn't stand up for him? In his mind.

I could be wrong, he might just suck, but I think he will thrive in Ottawa.

He’ll at very least have a spurt of play where he looks great. Who knows though if he actually corrects his mistakes
