Cozens looks like he has decided to give up on the physical stuff, give up on helping teammates. Sure, he does it every few games, but most of the time it looks like he does not  care.

He has no problem flying into the offensive zone to try to get some shots off, but other than that he looks heartless more often than njot.

Byram looks bad tonight. But most of the defense this team needs is getting forward that know how to play in their own zone and not hang their own D-men out to dry.

If the defense didn’t suck so bad, the forwards wouldn’t have to try to cover up their mistakes.  Not one defender other than Dahlin have any clue what they need to do as defensemen.  They are horrific.

As much as I like McLeod, looking at the replay of that SH goal allowed, I'm not sure what he was doing. He rotated away from his spot and I do not know why, that caused the D-men to move out of position and they PK box got all messed up.

McLeod overally is one of the top 5 or 6 forwards on this team, but him not holding position caused a chain reaction that hurt their coverage on that SH goal allowed.

I have been disgusted by Cozens tonight, but frankly the whole team has been lax, lazy and slow as far as sticking up for each other.  It wasn't that long ago that the same issue came up when TNT got hit and nobody came to his defense.  Supposedly the guys said something like "this won't happen again"....what a bunch of BS again from these players.  Tonight's actions tell me they don't care about each other....maybe never did really this season.  I have to now believe there are locker room issues that haven't been exposed.  This is NOT a team....not even close.

I disagree. When I watch multiple replays of goals allowed, I usually find more often than not that the D-men start the replay in the right position, but it is lack of coverage or mistakes by the forwards that are the issue.

Not all the time, but more than 1/2 of the time I will watch a replay over and over from all the angles they have and its usually the D-men covering for the forwards.

I’ve been calling it a shell game for years 

until they have a actual offseason it’ll just keep happening

Cozens is so awful. He needs to go now.

He is bringing no offense to this game, and has been a no-show in terms of helping his teamates out.....yet again, he is on pace for 17-18 minutes of ice time.

I would take trade calls about UPL.  see if someone will overpay.  Levi and whatever joe blow goalie off the streets would give just as good an effort.  Plenty of Teams need a goalie and he probably could use a change of scenery,

I’m thinking the same thing.  Dahlin has no help. It’s always the same guys, Muel, Power, and tonight it’s Cozens 

The have 5 goals,  and they just blew a 2 goal lead in the final 2:17 the second period.   That was the time to tighten up the D and not give up a late goal, but this team just floats along and is  clueless as to how the game should be played.  
 

The Lightning need the points. I think the Sabres chances of winning are close to zero.
