Serious question. I think with the better structure the Amerks might take it.😳

Sabres. It wouldn't be that close.

This is like when ppl say the Ohio State Natty team would beat the Titans. They wouldn't. Each level you go up the talent compresses.

In a series, but in a one game exhibition with a hot Levi in goal?

The ability of guys like Thompson to snipe corners at the nhl level is one of the biggest reasons Levi has struggled in making the transition. In a one game anything can happen but I’d be surprised

With these gutless f&$@s I’d actually take the Amerks. They play a system and with heart. Sabres don’t play for each other, the D stinks and Amerks get the advantage in net.

The Sabres are faster, more skilled, more experienced, and their defense is better than Rochesters

I can’t believe you would actually ask that question.  I thought you were one of the smarter posters.
Sabres would destroy the Amerks.  Wouldn’t be close.

I know in reality the NHL team would win but you have an NHL team that doesn’t care and an AHL team that is the exact opposite. Purely on talent Sabres win but if you throw heart, passion and structure it would be a lot closer then it should be. It’s a damnation of the NHL franchise

Look, this team is a horror show... just absolutely despisable and unwatchable...  but the Ice Capades would beat the Amerks 4-0 ... Hot Levi or not... we used to get this question alot with College football... Could Alabama or Georgia beat the worst NFL team...  the reality is Alabama or Georgia may have 5 or 6 players out of 90 that could play in the NFL ... the Amerks may have 1 or 2 players that are currently 3 or 4th line NHL ready... maybe 3 or 4 others that have a shot in the next couple of years to be ready... its just not a realistic scenario...

Barring Levi channeling Hasek, it'd be a 1 sided Sabres series that goes 4-0. In that rare chance Levi stands on his head and plays otherworldly, I'll give them 1 win which still has the Sabres winning 4-1.

(Effectively the only position that could theoretically give the AHL team any prayer at winning a game much less a series falls upon the goalie who could be nearly NHL caliber and or a young up incomer)

This is absurd.  All you need to know to predict an outcome is the performance of Aube-Kubel since he’s been sent down.  Very good AHLer, invisible NHLer.  The gulf between mediocre NHLers and good AHLers is wide and deep.

Everyone is overlooking the obvious. The fact that the question was even asked is the real point of this thread.

This team stinks.

I can't believe that Cozens is at 350 games. Pegula has killed hockey in Buffalo.

If they did play an exhibition game vs each other, they only way to make it fair or competitive would be to do something like this:

-2 of the 3 of Tage, Tuch, and Dahlin get a day off.

-Reimer plays in net vs Levi

-A couple Sabres guys who were recently in the AHL get to play for Rochester.  Kulich for sure plays for Rochester.

You might get a somewhat competitive game if you do that.

Sabres would sweep it vs Amerks, no doubt.

and

Ohio State 10, Tennessee Titans 60. No way, no how a top college team would beat the worst NFL team. Not gonna happen.
