Again, I was a little kid so maybe they won 3 in a row but it seemed like a lot more to me.  Since that day, I always had in my head the Sabres matched up really well vs Montreal (and they always seemed to lose to the Nordiques).

Yes we need a different mix of players, but the players as individuals (one or two maybe being the exception) ARE NHL players. 

Ruff is terrible.  .475 winning % since he left Buffalo the first time. 6 of 9 years out of the playoffs. He has this team on pace to finish with fewer points than Granato got out of a team that included Hayton, Butcher, Tokarski, and Bjork.
