Sabres were sure ready for this one. Being swept by a Montreal team that is not a playoff team. At least the people that were desperately hoping can finally stop wasting time trying to figure out how many games we need to win to somehow squeak in. 
 

I stopped doing that figuring in November.

Whoever is the GM when the draft happens better be careful in drafting a player going to college. I would stay the full 4 yrs and be a free agent rather playing for a  dysfunctional organization!

When I was a little kid, there was a time, sometimes in the middle to late 80s, where it seemed like they had a good run against Montreal.

Again, I was a little kid so maybe they won 3 in a row but it seemed like a lot more to me.  Since that day, I always had in my head the Sabres matched up really well vs Montreal (and they always seemed to lose to the Nordiques).  

Well, they are taking that childhood memory from me.

Thats the next step in the Sabres evolution, draft picks will all start refusing to come to Buffalo if drafted.
