I don't know, but somebody besides Kevyn Adams who is in year FIVE with a roster of his own creation showing zero forward progress. The law of averages says eventually they have to luck into someone semi-competent, right? Right??? I mean, even the Cleveland Clowns managed to make the playoffs a couple of times this decade and they were arguably the worst run franchise in professional sports for almost two decades with an owner just as bad, if not worse than Terry Pegula.

What you describe is the psychology of systemic losing: After going through the experience of losing on a regular basis, then expecting to lose becomes part of your belief system. Fans and even the players succumb to that line of thinking. The more problematic issue is nearing where the problem is not attracting players to come to this garbage heap of a franchise but how many of your own players will want to get away from the stench that surrounds them. It's a sad situation. What's needed is fresh eyes and thinking brought into the franchise to replace the inept leadership of the hockey operation. 

As critical as I am of this franchise and how it is run, I strongly believe that with the right person at the helm who is capable of making a few judicious moves, this team could be on a much better course. When your owner is seemly apathetic it is difficult to make the required change to the hockey staff. If the top of the pyramid is inert, the situation is hopeless. The malaise will continue. It's so sad.

I’m not absolving Power or any other player whose poor play contributed to getting scored on. But on three of those goals last night, it was Reimer vs shooter with clear looks and a goalie has to make those saves. His positioning on all three sucked. We haven’t gotten anything more than fair to middling goaltending most of the year and, while there is enough blame to go around, imo crap goaltending is the main reason we aren’t higher in the standings, regardless of the poor play in front of them.

Oh, I do agree with you. He wasn't great. I just think overall, he has been 'decent' as a backup. Not great, but he hasn't cost you games any more than most other backups could have/might.

For me, this team would be in a playoff spot if only 3 things changed, and goaltending is one of them.  They have overall (Reimer and UPL and Levi) gotten slightly below average goaltending.   I truly, 100% think this team would be in a playoff spot, or fighting for one really closely with 1.  Average to slightly above average goaltending (if UPL had last year's peformance this year). 2. and 3.)  Cozens and Quinn were not on this team at all this year, or they played just like 'average' middle 6 guys.

So can you have a better guy than Reimer in the spot? yep but he is way down the list of issues of what can be done to make the team better.

There are other issues to be sure. But goaltending has been one KA's most glaring issues since he was hired. We haven't had above average goaltending since Ullmark. Not sure Ullmark is above average but he has been competent

I know. I’m just saying breakdowns happen every shift in hockey. Most are overlooked because the goalie makes the save to bail the play out.
