Ruff is terrible.  .475 winning % since he left Buffalo the first time. 6 of 9 years out of the playoffs. He has this team on pace to finish with fewer points than Granato got out of a team that included Hayton, Butcher, Tokarski, and Bjork.

Definitely not untouchable but he is probably our 3rd best player on the team I'm not trading him away for some 28th, 29th overall pick in the draft. We can't even draft a correct player in the top 10 let alone that far down.

He just came off the bench seconds before. No thought was involved. He came off the bench, skated 2-3 seconds to the blue line and Gilbert game him the stretch pass when the Montreal D-men were looking up ice. The play was made by a pretty darn good stretch pass by Gilbert.

It was a reaction type play. Cozens was on the ice for a total of about 10 seconds. There was no need to analyze the play no need to know where the opposition was, it was hit the ice, get the pass drive to the net.

He's good at that. It is the other 90% of the game where he has to think a little bit where he has a problem.

Well, if GMKA is stupid enough to trade him (which he might be), then he'll get nothing but futures, which in essence makes the Eichel trade even more lopsided.  Greenway (2nd round trade) will be gone via UFA, Krebs (useless), Östlund (who knows) and Tuch for futures is a poor return for the big trade.

I agree.  It would only be if they can get a top 4 RHD or 1 C as Tuch as main piece going back

Really no one should be untouchable.  McDavid isn't untouchable if you are offered McKinnon AND Makar.

The reason untouchable is probably practical with Tuch is that he isn't a problem, he is net positive player for you. And since you aren't a 'seller' trying to break down the team and start over, you only trade a player IF you are getting a better one in return.

Show me an offer where Tuch is traded and you get a BETTER player back and yeah, make that deal. That isn't happening though.
